I don't know what happened but the Stock is not for the Ruka 1022. It did not fit at all. I read 1 million you file this down so I filed out of the stock and it still don't fit anybody. I'll send it to you. It's garbage, maybe I got the wrong Stock but I have actually broke the gun cause I tried ham...

NOT a Drop In Stock
If you haven’t fitted stocks before or aren’t handy, have your gunsmith do it. Fits very tight. You’ll need a heat gun to soften it a bit, DON’T overdo that. Then a rubber mallet to get it in. With only stock OEM parts you’re probably done. As other reviews say, within the aftermarket parts you’re definitely going to need minor custom fitting to some degree or another. I added the Ruger BX trigger which is plastic & the tight receiver well/area squeezed it so tight it won’t always reset & you have to manually press it forward to reset half the time. I’m going to have to disassemble using the heat gun again, and grind back / file / sand the receiver well slightly to reduce pressure on the BX trigger module. Other than that, everything else about the stock is very good.

It's a comfortable stock
I initially held one of these stocks at a gun show and liked the way it fit me. The adjustable butt plate and cheek rest are pluses, as I am a large man and need something more than the Ruger stock provided. The one problem I had was installing the action into the stock. After I watched the demo from ProMage I was able to install the action but it is a very tight fit. Other than that I would recommend this stock.

Nice stock once you fit it
I see people who complain about having to fit the stock to their actions. I've had to fit $300 Boyd stocks too. I'd rather have to do a little filing than have a stock that is too loose. After about 20 minutes, it fits perfectly. I haven't decided if I want to use the barrel support yet. The only down side for some is that it is much heavier than the factory stock.
Pros:
- Adjustability, cheek and bag rest, and rail bipod mount.
Cons:
- Weight and Adjustments
Best Used for:
- bench shooting

Nice upgrade
I bought this stock and a fluted, threaded barrel from Faxon for my old 10/22. Put a newer updated scope on it and made a whole new rifle.

Great stock
Bought this to use it as a temp stock for my 10/22 until I could get an At one Boyd stock. However, after installing I will keep this and maybe get the other for another build
Pros:
- Sturdy
Cons:
- a bit heavy
Best Used for:
- 10/22

May require some fitting but the effort is well worth it.
I checked some subs before ordering the stock and the reviews were mixed. I did have to do a little tweaking but I'd rather have too tight of clearances than it be loose. I'm very pleased with the way the rifle now feels. There is a huge difference between the factory stock and the Archangel. It super easy to pickup the crosshairs of my scope with the adjustable cheek riser. If you are a target bench shooter, this is a great choice. It may be a bit heavy if you are hunting or just walking and plinking. The added weight is actually a good thing off a bench.
Pros:
- The vertical grip, cheek riser and adjustable length of pull make it really nice for target shooting.
Cons:
- I did have to adjust the mag well and storage compartment to give them a little more clearance. No big deal and only took a few minutes. It is much heavier than the original stock.
Best Used for:
- Bench target shooting.

Pro’s and Con’s
First off this kit is 100% well made and fits together perfectly.
It looks totally cool .
So why wouldn’t I recommend it ?
Here’s my take … So I take apart a great rifle and add parts .
The parts add a lot of weight .
The main con is … you have to take it apart to clean it … no I’m not talking a few more seconds … I’m talking … you gotta take it almost all apart to clean it … not me saying … it’s Archangle saying it .
So it’s the question … does the coolness outweigh the extra weight and must disassemble to clean thing ?
Not for me.
I took it all apart and tried to make it stock again … the hardest part ? Yeah … putting the rear sights back on .
Oh well … this company couldn’t have built a better product …
