good idea but
After putting this all together ran through a few trial and errors. First the guide rod broke and spring bent. Second the firing pin broke. Looking at the design of the bolts Carrier Group and firing pin design it leads me to believe the firing pin will break again after replacing. R&D precision is ...

pw9 is great
Ive had mine for a few years now ,almost a 1000 rounds for a minor malfunction and their response time and their ability to knockout my problem within such a short time was incredible. ,i will always recommend r and d precision and a great company to go through and a great kit to buy its a blast ,i love mine you will love yours.

Very nice looking
Problem is it won’t run on endo magazines and 80 % on stern adaptor! Company is not very good working with you, after 4 emails there answer was it won’t run on endo mags and you need to purchase a 9 mm lower but when I bought this it wasn’t in the details! Buy a matador bufferless upper it works and is less money, reason I bought one of these uppers was they look great will be trying a 9 mm lower next week hopefully it will run on that!

Very hot looking upper
This is a very nice looking upper, but it won’t run on the endo magazines and they don’t tell you this! The owner Randy answered my emails but is turning bussiness over to his sons and there service is terrible! They offer an enhanced spring for suppressed but it doesn’t come with the gun and they wanted roughly 30.00 dollars to send one to me also your warranty is longer good if you use that spring! There service is poor and they don’t have this working 100% I will get this upper running but with no help from the R&D team! Would stay away from these unless you are mechanical enough to fix! Sorry that we live in USA and these companies don’t stand behind there products Buy someone else’s bufferless upper for less money that works!

Awesome upper
This is one slick product. I assembled it on to an AR-9 lower with a Strike Industries folding brace an it makes for one fine, compact, lightweight little gun. I've got 100% reliability out of it so far it will probably end up being one of my favorites. Highly recommended.

I love this thing I've ordered two of them one for my father and myself the team at r&d is awesome to work with Randy now retired passed the ownership to his son the Facebook group is full of awesome info and videos and Mercedes the owners wife is always on top of replying to everyone and getting things handled

9mm NATO Pistol caliber Carbine. Personal Defense Weapon. Bufferless
This is actually a slight revision of the original. This is more aesthetically pleasing on the Upper. The muzzle device works and is permanent. Same with the rail.
The upper is a (non-ramped)9x19mm barrel with a (colt pcc) ramped, internal extractor and floating firing pin with the narrow trigger cut out bolt carrier group.
The charging handle is a side charger on the left hand side. It is best to load the magazine and tuck it under your wing and pull the charging handle as far as you can and then (MANUALLY push the side charger handle forward) you will feel a slight drag and a click sound. It was designed to be non-reciprocating.
It does fit with ar15 lowers with mag wells or most pcc 9mm lowers like New Frontier, Joe bobs.

different lock, feel and tons of options .
Can’t say any negative with this upper from R&D. You have so many options. Did I say wicked looks and features. I have countless conversations with the owner(Randy) and he walked me through the process( went to the C5 lower/mp5 lowers) and went flawless. It cycled well and customer service was just awesome!!! Good luck with R&D this was a great and fun build.
