Optics planet had a grate discount on the radical firearms upper had to get it and it’s really nice for the price fills good. Nice slim had guard fills and looks well put together. Shipping was fast and on time

I added loktite to the two gas block screws, because there was no loktite on these screws. Fired one round only at first, the bolt locked back, and brass casting landed about 4:15 clock position, about 3 ft away from were I was shooting from. Fired one round in another mag, and it did same as above. Then loaded a full 30rd mag, and it fired all of them great, then loaded another 30 mag, and it worked great. Then I added scope and sighted it in at 50 yards with 15 more rounds.I was using a PSA lower with carbine buffer 2.9 oz, and carbine spring. The upper shoots like a dream. I set it to shoot 1" low at 50 yards. I read a couple of reviews that said they had problem firing this upper, make sure to add loktite to gas block screws, and make sure gas block is centered on top of barrel before you tighen down screws. I have bought other uppers that gas block we're loose, and they move when you fire the weapon, so always check before you fire the upper. My upper is purring like a cat, and functioning like it should. I would recommend this upper to anyone, I only paid $215, so jump on this if you can.

I got the 12"rail upper for $215 total. Very nice looking upper, mine came with a heavy profile barrel that says 5.56 NATO 1-7, does not say socom on barrel, but who cares, I like it. It's heavier by the barrel nut and smaller were gas block mounts (.75). I put a Tool Craft BCG, and a ambitious charging handle. Looks good, have not fired yet.

I've contacted them multiple times thru email and spoke with them on the phone about my issues of it not loading correctly and only got about 20 rounds thru it and still have not heard back from them I will not deal with that company again customer service is a zero seems like all I did was buy a big paper weight

I ordered this for my father for Christmas. We opened gifts a little bit ago and we jumped in to putting this thing together so we could shoot tomorrow and sight it in. We got everything put together red dot mounted and I seen 5he stamping on the top of the barrel. 7.62x39!! Wait! What?? I ran back up stairs among the gift wrapping to find the box and sure enough. 5.56 socom. Somebody screwed the pouch! Now I will have to call to get this ironed out. What a mess. Good thing we seen it.

I purchased this because i wanted a cheap ar upper to practice cerakote on. The finish leaves something to be desired so coating this would really enhance its looks. I dropped in a bootleg inc bcg and slapped it on my aero lower to test fire. Everything seemed to be perfectly in spec. It shoots excellent. One other thing to consider when purchasing is some sort of rubber rail covers because the handguard rings like a bell when you release your bolt.

About 300 rounds in and not a single hiccup! Very smooth yet robust at point range. Very much worth the money and time put in to build it. Comes ready out of the box no extra tinkering needed just slap it on a lower and Bang!

This first things first this is an amazing deal the 15-in m lock quad rail is a Magpul and by itself is 90 bucks even on this site. The barrel's nice nothing fancy I took the a2 birdcage right off threads are real nice for any other muzzle device. Receive the upper receiver solid it's pic rail goes all the way down no additional rail sections necessary. 200 dollars free shipping plus 50 bucks in optics bucks to use on any BCG you want? That's half the price of something not even close to comparable all plastic out of their competitor out of NC state. It's mid-length and the gas block is nothing special it's not adjustable it's on a .750 hole. Gas block is a replaceable item down the road if your mid-length is over or under gassing. As is its serviceable. I did pair this with an H1 buffer per the specs but next time out to the range I will try a carbine buffer because it's just slightly short stroking with a heavier bcg and comp than just a garbage level BCG and birdcage the things probably meant to be running with because I mean it is bottom of the line kit parts. Saying that it's still better than whatever comes on the retail shelf from a dozen manufacturers with the big ancient gas pins and giant plastic handguards.

Nice rail system. No shortcomings in my opinion. I would not hesitate to buy another one. Just needs sights. Gonna put a set of Magpul Mbus sights on it and maybe a red dot. This is not my last upper purchase from optics planet.

This was a great purchase very nice upper. Perfect fit on my colt lower. Gun shot like a dream. I will be getting more for my 80% lowers. This was my first time using radical fire arms product and I’m very pleased with my choice.
