Great upgrade for those who want more precision than Accutrigger.
I installed two of these in my Savage long-range rifles (110BA in .338 LM and 10GRS in 6.5 CM). While the stock Accutriggers are very good out of the box- the blade safety was an annoyance and I experienced several issues with the trigger locking if you put any side pressure on the blade. Savage after market trigger
I have a savage GRS in 6.5 creedmoore . I like the accu-rigger and have had success engaging targets in excess of 1000 yds. Recently I was shooting with some bench-rest fanatics. Fired a weapon with a 2 oz trigger. So I looked for a trigger that would fire at greatly reduced trigger pull. I was surprised that there is such a thing for my Savage. Anyway, I got the Basix target trigger. The install was not complicated but I did watch the video a few times. Once installed the trigger is now at 4.6 ounces. It is crisp and adjusted for zero after travel. It does take some getting used to but I like it. I bought a second one for my old savage 10 FP-LE in 308.
I don’t think you would be disappointed.

best savage trigger
Best trigger I have used in savage model 10. Took about 45 minutes to install and adjust
Pros:
- Easy to set up and adjustments are precise
Cons:
- None

great trigger
I installed this in my savage LRP model 12 and way better than the locking up factory trigger and you can set it super lite, the install was not the most pleasant and you have to use some parts from your old trigger assembly but I found it works best to set them side by side and it’s not too hard to figure out I mean I only used a handful of cuss words but I didn’t throw anything so it wasn’t that bad, there are a few people on YouTube that will actually show you step by step better than the recommended video
Pros:
- Adjustable and crisp trigger Pull
Cons:
- None

Better than Stock
So, I have a Savage Md. in a Ashbury Precision Chassis. It came with the Orange trigger. The book it came with says it’s a Law Enforcement model. The trigger has been good but some times when touched on the side it would drop the Target sear and catch on the acutrigger safety. This would mean you have to lift the bolt to reset Savages system.
Install of the Rifle Basic is straight forward and is made much better than the Savage stamped sheet metal. I could not use the lighter spring it came with as the slightest bump ( the bolt actually has a silicone rubber bumper) it would fire as now there is no extra level of safety. I had to use the heavier spring and have it set at 12 oz. It has a little creep with no adjustment but does have an adjustment for over travel. A sharp rap with a brass hammer on the receiver will fire the gun. I believe this is due to the target sear more than anything. I only use the gun at the range as it’s quite heavy with the chassis and 26” barrel. I’m still 50/50 if it’s better than stock orange trigger/target sear.

Great product at a good price! Arrived when it was supposed to. Makes the ole savage 110 a joy to shoot. No longer need a pull rope to pull the trigger.

This rifle basix trigger ISN'T a Drop in in my Savage Hi Country Model 110 rifle
First, let me say I have purchased several Rifle Basix triggers which were parts to install into the existing Savage accutrigger with good results. This time I ordered their "Savage 110 Target Trigger advertised as a Drop in replacement for "any" model 110. The video they recommend on line states there may be "minor" fitting required. My rifle is in 243 and it has an accustock with bottom bolt release. That's where the major problem arose because after I made "minor" fitting adjustments with a dremel tool and small jeweler file I got it installed in the action. With patient adjustment I got it to fire properly. When I went to put the action back into the stock it would not fit. I put a small thin layer of modeling clay into the stock and found the bottom of the trigger housing was touching the bolt release plate. I ground on the housing with my dremel till I finally realized that I would have to grind almost all of the trigger housing away where the trigger adjustment screw is located to get it to fit into the stock. Obviously I ruined the trigger unit and cannot return it. The trigger wont fit.. Save your money and don't buy it!
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- It won't fit in an accustock with bottom Bolt release.

drop in trigger for savage 10 rifle.
Great quality product. Came in mail super fast. Instructions were video only on YouTube. Wish there was some written ones in the box to show diagram of all parts and pieces. There are many adjustment screws and pin placement options for trigger. Slightly overwhelming at first but once you start playing with adjustments and dial in the trigger its a great setup.

Wow - It goes light
Replaced a savage non-accutrigger and all I can say is wow, this thing is great, light and crisp, I will buy more.
