Most Helpful Positive Review Its fifty bucks. And you're not a ninja. And neither am I.
So.... If I was a Ninja then the Guv'ment would have bought me the Crye Precision JPC that I really wanted. But I'm not. So I bought this knock off for $170 dollars less. I'm sure I'll have buyers remorse when it craps the bed as I'm haho jumping into the neighboring suburbs. Or when I'm exiting...

Most Helpful Negative Review Rothco Lightweight Plate Carrier
Had read/watched nothing but good reviews. I'm not military and hoped to only depend on this in a self defense/active shooter situation. I purchased this to train on the range and in the gym. Out of the box it felt pretty good and decent quality. I was worried about the shoulder straps. I put two 1...

Through my limited use of this plate carrier I have found it super comfortable with soft armor and very versatile with the molle webbing.

Not the highest quality

by Johnathon, from MI, United States Written on April 9, 2023
This is the most basic a plate carrier can get. The side adjustment is just a couple of elastic cords woven through the MOLLE straps on the rear. The front plate pocket fit a 10x12 swimmers cut plate pretty decent, but the rear plate pocket only measures 9.5" across and doesn't fit the swimmers cut plate or a standard flat plate
Pros:
  • Cheap
Cons:
  • Also Cheap

Practical plate carrier

by Bill, from OH, United States Written on March 28, 2022
This plate carrier seems to be rather durable and should suit the needs of the average homeowner looking for plate carrier protection. I’m not sure if this plate carrier would be durable enough for every day use but for home invasion protection and possible disturbances in the neighborhood this plate carrier should suit your needs.
Pros:
  • Affordable and functional
Cons:
  • None

Received it quickly....

by John, from IL, United States Written on June 20, 2021
That's about all I can say. Didn't even get the chance to really test it at all. Shoulder strap tore at the seam.Seems to be the weak link, pardon the pun. All I did was load it up with plates and full mags. No kinesthetic work at all.
Pros:
  • Fits well
Cons:
  • Shoulder straps are very weak and the outer mag pouches are tight to the point of pulling away from the velcro
Best Used for:
  • Airsoft or cosplay

Read the reviews about plate fitment.

by BigDoubleYou, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on March 1, 2021
Disappointed that 10x12 plates sit way too low in PC. I usually read reviews before purchases but didn’t this time and am sorry I ordered these without doing so first. Don’t make the same mistake. I didn’t see anything in the description that stated only for 10x15 plates. It might be a decent starter PC if those are the plates you have. Not sure of a solution to help keep plates in place. If someone modified with another row of Velcro inside of PC, it might keep plates in place. Idk.
Pros:
  • Looks nice
Cons:
  • None

not for 10x12

by Tristan, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on November 4, 2020
I bought this thinking it would fit my 10x12 plates. It is more of a fit for a 10x15 plate and will not accept a 10x12. My plates now sag and the velcro is not even aligned or secure. I am 6'1 and athletic build and this carrier is much too big for me. I adjusted the shoulder straps as much as I could until I ran out of velcro. My plates are way below the bottom of my collar bones and the back plate is even lower. I don't think this carrier fits at all. I will say the quality in the build is very nice. I don't think it would fail unless under extreme amounts of stress which I never think I would put it through anyways. The materials also seem nice but I was never able to test the durability because I couldn't get it to fit at all. I think who ever was designing the fit really ruined the carrier. I don't know how people use this.

Cool until it ain't

by Matador, from FL, United States Written on October 15, 2020
Like everyone else says, bought this piece of gear because all the reviews said good things about it. When I received, first thing I noticed were the shoulder straps. Look and felt like they would eventually rip. Unlike others, this rig was going to be for my daily duty use. I started testing with 10x12 steel. The weight alone was cause for concern as I could already see the stitching stretching from the shoulder straps. Only talking 22 lbs! Then, the adjustable straps are too long! At its shortest setting, it hangs at minimum appropriate coverage from the collar bone. Then, the straps hurt. It needs padding. Okay. So next I switched to composites. Better but the carrier remains awkwardly extra long. Then I noticed this rig has no ventilation. So you tighten it down and eventually sweat like its concealed soft armor. What's the point of this rig again? Oh yeah, Cuz it looks good but not really to those who know what's what.

Good Product

by WK, from TX, United States Written on September 30, 2020
Product is as advertised, however its easy to understand why this isn't the real thing. Materials are of lesser quality and even though this is a good product, I can see how the shoulder straps could begin to tear after heavy use.

great value

by Skeletorrrrrrr, from KS, United States Written on July 2, 2020
Was looking for a lightweight minimal carrier to run in conjunction with a chest rig for more versatility. This fits the bill. The one detraction is that the front plate pouch is a little long for level III+ 10x12 sapi so the sit low and leave extra unused material in the top of the pocket
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Inexpensive
  • decent quality
  • Minimal
Cons:
  • plate pouches are a little long for standard plates
