Comfortable Concealment Pouch
I am using with double stacked 45ACP and 9mm magazines. Vertical magazine pouches tend to allow the magazine butt plate to dig into my back/side (especially when worn concealed and while sitting). This horizontal pouch eliminates the problem, and the velcro cover helps secure the magazine will still providing quick access.
Pros: comfortable, concealable, accepts wide range of magazines
Cons: takes more belt space than vertical holster, does not close well with short magazines

This is a great idea. Very light,compact and comfortable to wear. Not exactly fitted to any particular magazines, kind of a generic fit. Both my single and double stack 9mm Sig magazines fit OK. 1911 mags will fit too. Slides around a little between belt loops...not always a bad thing. Works on shoulder straps as well as belts. Retention strap is wide and holds firmly...great for hiking or back-packing...magazine is not falling out. But the strap is slow and not for tactical speed loads. The Velcro gets worked hard on this carrier and I really can't see a long life. I would suggest getting the belt loop fitting where you want it and then thread carrier on and off to save wear on the Velcro.
All and all I like it. Nice way to pack an extra magazine. Compared to other holster/belt/carrier items out there it seems a little over priced.

Works well for concealed carry
I've used one of these in a different size for a number of years and have found it to very handy for concealed carry. It's easy on and off, unobtrusive securely holds a spare magazine. This magazine holder also has all those qualities.

Easy to carry!
This holder does exactly what I was looking to do; comfortably carry a spare mag for my XDm 45. My stacked mag easily fits into the pouch and the cover holds it securely in place . (Due to the size/weight of the mag I wanted a secure cover.) Even with close to a one pound mag the Velcro fasteners hold the unit securely in place on my belt and it's NOT digging into my ribs. Optics Planet delivered quickly and at a competitive price.
