Whats not to love? It is American made with a awesome mount with great clearity and eye releif plus a lifetime wn.for under $200. I have it behind my holosun 510 and it lined up perfect center with 0 adjustment. It is mounted with 4 rail slots left behind it for mounting a flip up sight and should clear any thats under 5/8" or so tall. After watching some videos on it I was scared the flip lever was going to be hard to reach but it is not at all. It is out of the way enough it wont accidently get flipped but easy enough to flip when you are trying, although it will be a little harder to grab with gloves on. Over all I love it and see no reason to pay 2-3 times as much for a aimpoint or eotech version that will do exactly the same thing and its only a few dollars more than the china ones. The only thing I wish it had was flip up lense caps on each end, other than that it does exactly what it is designed to do.
Pros:
- Eye releif, flip up mount, American made, Wn., amazing value for cost, this combined with a red dot is noticably lighter than a 1-6 optic
Best Used for:
- The fastest and easiest way to cover 0-300yds with a AR.

Was either the Holosun or the Samson Magnifier. I went with this one because it locked when using it. Magnifier has been out a couple of years now but I think it's still good. The glass is clear and durable super easy to get attached and tighten down. Make sure to Loctite the screws and your good to go. Blasted through 500 rounds and it held up. It is not the lightest magnifier out there but with its proven track record you know it will last. Now mind you I do not have a range to shoot at 200-300 yards, but this gives you the ability to ID targets at longer distances. Overall a good buy and I do recommend it.
Pros:
- Price
- durable
- Clear
- Easy adjustments
Best Used for:
- plinking
- Patrol
- home defeanse
- SHTF

Works with my exps 2-0 eotech.
Pros:
Very good glass.
Sits very tall with the extra mount to match 1/3 cowitness sights.
Extremely solid and durable.
Can flip to either side.
Cons:
Con is only bc of my AR15 setup. Normal AR15s there would be no cons.
With exps version eotech you have to give a small space between magnifier and exps eotech bc of the latch ( only if you have it flipping to the right ). So i had to shave a millionth of and inch off my magpul back up sight to make rear sight, magnifier and eotech fit on reciever. No big deal it. This was mostly bc i couldnt move the eotech bc im using the aero precision enhanced quadrail. So if i had a normal rail i could have just moved eotech one space forward.

I'm not normally one to leave a review, but I was so impressed by the build quality I feel compelled to do so. If you're on the fence between this and almost any other option - I can tell you the Samson is going to be the way to go, especially if your considering "mid range" vortex/sig/etc.
Glass is clear, sits perfectly flush behind the red dots I own, heavy duty, quick release button functions flawlessly (mount can be just turned round to release to the opposite side) and while the mount size for my top rail was perfect right out of the box, the micro adjustments are a great feature - what more can you ask for from a magnifier?
Pros:
- clear glass
- Mount
- Heavy and well built
- Eye releaf
- sits well behind red dot
Best Used for:
- Magnifer to supplement holographic sight

I researched magnifiers quite a bit before buying the Samson to go behind an EOTech EXPS2. Was going to pull the trigger on an EOTech G33 magnifier but couldn't swallow the price tag that came with it. The Samson has an MSRP of $389 I believe, so Optic Planet's price is awesome, especially if you have a 10% coupon :-)
The clarity of the Samson is phenomenal (Japanese glass) and the eye relief is one of the better out there (2.6"). The mount it comes with (IMHO) is one of the best, only second to the EOTech G33 mount (my favorite). Samson's mount has an option riser included so it can work with plenty of RDS/HWS. As a side note, Samson actually manufactured the mounts EOTech used in their previous version magnifier, the G23. That mount is the same mount Samson now uses on their magnifier since EOTech now is using something slightly different on their G33.
What made my decision was 2 things. First was a review of the Samson vs the AimPoint I saw - the Samson shined (I've provided a link to the YouTube review below). The other deciding factor was Samson's warranty. I don't think I've come across a warranty statement quite like this before. Here is is, straight from their website: "At Samson, we stand firmly behind the quality of our products. If your Samson handguard, mount, sights or accessories don’t perform, we will repair or replace it for free. We don't ask for a proof of purchase or warranty card, we just make things right. We do this because we maintain the hi...

Very happy with this purchase. Solid design and build. I have used this successfully with both my eotech and aimpoint optics. The mount attaching quickly a numerous rails. The flip mount is easy to function and use quickly. The glass is clear. When practicing with this I found it to allowed me to reach out quick and get on paper and all grouping were 1.5 moa with my 300 blackout and 556

This is a great alternative magnifier to the Eotech and other budget options. The glass is clear. The Sampson mount is rock solid. And the eye relie is not too terrible as it is with most magnifiers. I wish the release latch were slightly longer when using the lower profile mounting option. And I do find the whole package to be on the heavy side, I wish it were a little lighter. The rubberized housing might be adding to the heft, but gives it a nice feel. Overall I would buy this again do to the high quality and great price. As always, optics planet provided great service.

The Samson 3.5X magnifier is awesome. At the price point you can buy this thing from Optics Planet, I have no idea why they are even in stock. Samson is not doing themselves any favors by not advertising these more. This magnifier is great and the mount is great too. I have it mounted behind an Aimpoint Pro and it is perfect. There is enough room for a backup site to fit underneath it too. This thing is built like a tank.

A wonderful 3.5X magnifier with great eye relief. Very well made, sturdy with excellent spring loaded clear. Optics are superior to other more expensive pieces I own. Had a little issue with the sling loaded clear sticking a bit but a little shot of graphite lube fixed that quick. I would highly recommend this product.
Pros:
- Clear optics
- quick release
- Price Construction

Decent magnifier for low price. The great thing about this package is that it includes the flip mount, which can easily cost an additional $75 if purchasing a separate mount from another manufacturer. This was exactly what I was looking for.
