Former Army Vet 10’/11’ so I was looking for something similar to what I used in theater, this comes close, is made very well and worth the money. On the other hand I wanted side plates, but this doesn’t come with side plate pockets or pouches for them, you must purchase separately and with wanting my IFAK/med kit on my side as I did in country it mounts where the side plates go, I can’t mount them to the Shellback Tactical side plate pouches they offer and you have to buy separately because there’s no molle mounts on the side plate pouches, kinda sucks..but improvised and mounted plates on inside of stomach band. Do your research and compare.

Bought this as a newbie to the armor world. Mostly easy to set up, although the shoulder pads are a little bulky. Comfortable to wear while moving/sitting/driving. Had no problems shouldering a full sized rifle stock. Would definitely recommend for anyones personal protection

Great fit, sits right where it should. Plates don’t move around at all. Carrier stays in place well while running. Just wish the “shoulder pads” would stay put a little better, they seem to twist or flip upside down easily when donning the carrier. Once on, they stay in place just fine.

Bought this carrier, because I needed a reliable carrier for my plates, mags and gear. Didn’t want to spend $500+ for one and didn’t feel confident with $70 vism type. Fits well, is comfortable, well made product with plenty of attachment points. Don’t know how well it works as I have not yet been in a gun fight with it( thank god). It’s a good investment as with any other gear you chose to purchase for that what if situation. I ordered the OD green as everything else was on back order and I don’t see the point in paying full price upfront for something That won’t be available for months.

This is precisely what i was looking for to wear during Irreverent Warrior hikes! My level 4 sapi plates fit perfectly and there is plenty of room for pouches and patches. I would highly recommend this plate carrier.

The stitching on the molle, as well as the fabric, seems pretty reliable. The wider shoulder straps distribute the weight more evenly than other carriers, and still allow to you to shoulder a rifle well.

Recieved mine yesterday. Fantastic plate carrier. it is comfortable and holds 10"x12" plates perfectly.It's easy to adjust, and built to last. I'm about 5'11" and 140lbs (in case you are worried that you're too skinny for it to fit properly.) You will not be dissapointed. This was my first purchase from Optics Planet, (along with Spartan AR550 10"x12" plates), but certainly not my last. Customer service is top notch.

It took 6 Weeks to arrive but my son said it was worth the wait. He loves it. The color is great as well as the quality. Optics Planet let us know it was going to be late but received in time frame given to us. Great service!

It's durable, distributes weight evenly, and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It's a reliable heavy duty plate carrier made out of cordura. When wearing it with your armor, loaded mags, radio, and ifak you'll feel well protected ready for anything. Well, almost anything �

This is a great compact plate carrier that holds 10X12 plates. I have AR500 plates and trauma pads in mine. I like how the cummerbund is adjustable and it fits on me. I am 5'9 and weigh 210 and there is still plenty of room to adjust the carrier and cummerbund if I was bigger. The velcro is extremely strong and the plates do not sag in the pouches. The carrier holds the weight of the plates evenly and has channels for hydration and radios. It does get hot as it does not have mesh, but any plate carrier will get hot after moderate use. The shoulder pads work really well to.
This carrier does NOT come with side plate pouches but you can order them separately like I did. Just make sure they fit this particular carrier. The drag handle seems sturdy and molle has not stretched on me despite repeated weaving of pouches. If you want a carrier that is compact, sturdy,and doesn't waste space, then this is the carrier for you. You won't be disappointed.
