Broken and sent to sig last year for repair but they discontinued it. Promised new replacement by customer service representative but have not seen it yet and rep doesn't reply back to recent emails. They got my money and my thermal and I'm in the dark and without my thermal scope and not happy with Sig Sauer customer service. Kept on hold for over an hour. Numerous hog hunts cancled and im pissed off.
Cons:
- Not having what you paid for

I've had to send my echo1 back to Sig twice hoping to fix the washout problem along with the battery life issue. Wished I'd saved my for a true thermal scope, with this you get what you pay for. Batteries are to hard to change, caps can get cross threaded.
Cons:
- Washout, fog sensitive, battery life.

Great piece of engineering for small pistol/rifle set-up, quick start, superb technology. The local gun store was unaware that it was available, Optics Planet had it available at a good price.Shipped quickly.

My buddies have other brand products that I've used, both 384 and 640 units and I'm quite familiar with their qualities and quirks as a comparison. I purchased this immediately after Christmas and I've had this in the field 3-4 times now and it's awesome! Rock solid mount, never freezes (knock on wood) and the battery life with rechargeable 16340 batteries has been STELLAR. It takes a while to get used to the auto-nuc feature, but I like it. Recently I've been able to positively ID hogs at 1/2 mile, which beats my friend's 384 unit all over the place. All functions are intuitive and easy to use. Black hot gives me the best resolution and I keep it on the lowest brightness setting and it doesn't light up my face too badly at night. Daytime, highest brightness setting and no sunglasses is necessary to see the screen. Zeroing is easy, tracking is accurate, and seeing the adjustment units on the screen is awesome so I can switch between supersonic and subsonic 300blk, in my case, and just move the cross hair to the previous location and you're good to go. I've never used the zoom function in the field, the native magnification is definitely not 1x though, more like 1.6x I'd guess. This is plenty because my engagements are always inside of 100 yards, usually 50 yards. I'd buy again without any hesitation, so far my favorite thermal I've used. This is a no-nonsense thermal that works and works well.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- good battery life
- smart design
- Good Resolution
Cons:
- Two Separate Battery Compartments

Unbelievable! that SIG would ever put it's name on something like this.(Pathetic!) On paper and in a controlled environment show room this optic looks great as a concept. In reality it is too small to give a accurate picture of a targeted environment when your trying to distinguish one moving target from another. It was more like one bad frame rate blob, to a worse blob at a even slower frame rate. This has NO value for law enforcement. This is not even capable of sweeping rooms due to the very bad frame rate. You would do better to drop acid and look through a 2" by 2" kaleidoscope. The center of the screen would always have a haze obscuring the aiming reticle. Trying to hunt with this would be a disaster just waiting to make news. I am so embarrassed that Sig Sauer and Optic Planet are still advertising this mechanical contraption. The whole thing reeks of go back into BETA testing mode.
Cons:
- Poor small veiw of assorted unidetifiable blobs

Ok, to answer some questions some of you may have. 1 the Echo 1B is a blem unit meaning it’s brand new unused but had a scratch or blem on the body. It doesn’t have the cables or the mount or the cover. Who cares, you just saved over a g! Now, the sight itself is pretty good for what it is. It will give a very clear image of anything further than 20ft and less than 300 yards. If you try to use it close up you will be disappointed, it’s not meant for close up tracking. You can see hog sized animals pretty clearly out to about 800 yards before they all kind of wash out. All in all if you want thermal and you don’t want to drop $1,800 or more this is your option. It’s not the greatest, but, it is cheap and it does what Sig says it will. Also, it will work outside in the day. You have to be deliberate in targeting and use the correct image setting so your eyes can make out what you’re looking at. Hope this helps, no one seems to have much on Sigs stuff. Third electro optic product. Couldn’t be happier! Just ordered a Bravo 4 as well!

Easy to use and effective. The controls and setup take the mystery out of thermal sights. The features of this sight are more than adequate for most nighttime and even some daytime uses. The size and weight keep the rifle package balanced and light compared to other units.
Pros:
- Ease of installation and setup

Opticsplanet had great shipping service. Sight works well, battery life is sufficient, and the digital 2x causes some pixelation but greatly helps you place your shot exactly where you want it. I would highyl recommend this for getting into hog or predator hunting, it's got plenty of range for .300 BLK and 2.23/5.56

If you want a legit thermal optic then check out a FLIR setup and spend 3-4 times the money to get what you want. This reflex type thermal optic is great for a hunter or someone who just wants to do some nighttime shooting for some critters. We were able to easily engage steel silhouette targets during the day out 150yds and out to 200yds at night using a 300blk SBR. For the money, this thermal will not let you down

Excellent value for the price.
SIG does it again.
I have been a big Sig fan since I purchased my first Sig P-210 in the late 70's.
As always, quality is top notch. Everything is well thought out and the technology is appropriate to soklve the problem at hand.
