Most Helpful Positive Review Initial box opening review
Right off the bat, lost a star because it is advertised as, and is clearly stated in the description as a 1 MOA DOT. It is not, order form that came with package, and the box indicate 2 MOA DOT. Miss leading! BUT, it doesn't mean its a bad optic, and I am okay with 2 MOA as some of the best red dots...

Most Helpful Negative Review Sig warranty and service is useless
Mounted on a savage 350 legend for hunting. Shake awake failed to work twice costing me nice bucks. Weather was in teens. Emailed sig 3 times and no one ever responded. Called direct and service rep said these scopes won't function below freezing due to battery. I advised him I have other red dots a...

Looks and Functions Great

by jvest, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on February 5, 2026
This red dot is very attractive looking on the rifle and co-witnesses very well. I have the newest gen magpul flip up irons and those co-witnessed very well right off the bat. I will update this after 1000ish rounds.
Pros:
  • attractive
Cons:
  • could offer more reticle options

Excellent Green Dot

by SwampShooter94, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on January 29, 2026
I have purchased several Sig Romeo’s from OpticsPlanet. I bought this standard Romeo 5 for a PCC. Have the XDR on a lever action rifle, and another Romeo 5 on another PCC. Every purchase has been smooth and easy. Place the order, wait a few days for it to arrive, open the box, and install. Simple as that.
Pros:
  • Easy to install
  • Easy adjustment
  • fast shipping
Cons:
  • None

Better than I expected

by CHARLES BRADFORD, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on October 22, 2025
Build quality is better than no name optics at this price point. I wasn't a huge fan of tube style red dot until I put this on a BinTac T9 9mm semi-auto airgun. Perfect for any rapid deploy point and shoot application.

LOVE IT!! BUT...

by Jose Villegas, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on September 21, 2025
This thing was zeroed right out the box. The only complaint I have is the tiny screws at the bottom that are used to attach the mount are too small in my opinion. I had issues with mine when I torqued to company specs.

Sig Sauer Romeo 5 Gen 2 Green Dot

by johnchip, Verified Owner from CT, United States Written on April 22, 2025
The Sig Sauer Romeo 5 Gen 2 is a great budget optic and now comes in green. Sig has introduced some great new features with the Gen 2 line. The mount is far superior over the old gens with a larger torque bit and T-mount style. I now own the Gen 2 in red and green as well as the Elite red version. Keeping the Aimpoint T2 mounting solution is great especially if you want to splurge a little and get a Scalarworks one. The windage and elevation turrets are far easier to access to zero the optic. Overall its a great budget optic for those looking for something to put on their first rifle or if you really liked the gen 1 version and want to upgrade. I highly recommend it.

Its a Sig Sauer GenII

by Hamp, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on March 25, 2025
I like the Gen1 and have two of them.
So the Gen2 you have the Green Dot option...thats a plus for me. I like the new I-beam look. Is it better than the block mount of the Gen1. Probably not it just looks better to me. The new shape is more like a Romeo4 and I like that look. It has all the features as the Gen1 and costs a little more.
