I love this device and use it just about every day. Have the 18x version. There is a mesa out my back door where a half dozen deer wander around. Very easy to track them 2500 yards away without any tripod or other support. Nice clear and sharp images.
Some observations. I have a very wide interpupillary distance making most binos unusable. This one, while maxed out, is workable for me. I ware glasses and they do work with them but I prefer to remove them when viewing for any amount of time. The eye cups extend out with a twist. I can then use the old trick of pushing the eye cups to the top of the eye socket where the bones make holding it more stable. Works great.
While it is easy to glass with this without support, anything will get heavy eventually. Bracing on a door, tree, fence, etc., helps remove the fatigue of holding them up for long periods of time. Note that this does NOT have a tripod mount. That is a separate part that wraps about it and costs $50. Have one on order so I can't comment on that yet. The focus knob is nice and wide and easy to run with gloves. The battery holders are located on each side of the base and a bit lower and fit well within your thumbs. The stabilization also allows for easy one handed operation, something that I really never did with my old set.
