Most Helpful Positive Review 7/23/23 I got the Gen2 Zulu6 20x42 FDE … Amazing!
I tried out the Gen1 Zulu6 16x42 and I was incredibly shocked at the progress of binocular technology. Extremely lightweight and the stabilizer was a game changer for me. Then I looked up on Sig Sauer’s website and saw they were about to drop the new Gen2 Hulu6 HDX with better glass and target mode added to the scan mode, almost doubling the stabilization. Not only that but coming out with a 20 times magnification model, I was instantly sold. Yes this is a must upgrade if you have the Gen1. Now that I have them, target mode literally holds the image completely still. You can jump and move a...

Gyro system malfunction

by Rick, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on July 14, 2025
I bought these a year ago and have been happy with them. The stabilization is great. I use them inverted with the switch on the bottom so I can manipulate it as well as the focus with my thumb. Recently, I had an accident with them and they were damaged. I called SIG and received an RMA number. I sent them in and within 2 weeks they were returned to me, repaired. I started using them like I normally do, with the switch on the bottom, and the stabilization did not work. So I called SIG, got another RMA and sent them in. I had explained to the rep that the stabilization did not work, but I did not explain that I use them inverted. I didn't even try to use them with the switch on the top because I have trouble with my fingers on my right hand. They were sent back to me with a report that they were working correctly. I tried them out and found they worked great when held with the switch on the top, but did not work when held with the switch at the bottom. I called SIG customer service and explained the problem. The rep contacted his optic repair technicians who informed him the binoculars are supposed to be held with the switch at the top. If held with the switch at the bottom, the gyro will eventually malfunction. So they sent me back a pair of, supposedly repaired ZULU6 binoculars, with a malfunctioning gyro. The rep would not issue another RMA to repair these, even though they were sent to me with a malfunctioning gyro. So much for the warranty.

20x - is basically a spotting scope

by Brock, Verified Owner from MN, United States Written on April 15, 2025
Anything over 10x without stabilization is useless for me , but this 20x is steady as a rock once turned on. Basically it’s magic. Great deal for the price, I’m surprised more of the leaders in optics haven’t released a competitor yet. Sig is ahead of the ball game on this one! Great product , untouchable price for quality. Only grip I have is it’s made in china which blows. I’d be happy to pay a premium if made somewhere else
Pros:
  • Stabilization
Cons:
  • Made in China
Best Used for:
  • City viewing from skyscrapers

INCREDIBLE! These are a total paradigm shift for me as a hunter

by wannabe, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on September 12, 2024
I looked through these at a retailer and the guy behind the desk had no idea how they worked. I flipped the switch and was in awe. I showed him, and so was he. I checked them out at another retailer with the exact same experience. I found a great price here and ordered a pair. I have showed them to several people and so far my brother, dad, and best friends dad have all bought a pair on here already. I was able to compare with the 16x for about an hour. There is not much difference in either magnification or field of view for how I compared them and will be using them. I haven't tried the 12x or 10x but am totally satisfied with these! I've sold my 18x56 Kaibab's, 12x42 UHD Razors, and 10x42 Razors. I just have these 20x and my 8x42 Razors now.
Pros:
  • Steady view by hand
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • everything you've used bino's for in the past - and wanted less shake

Unbelievable

by Rich V, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on August 31, 2024
A definite game changer. Everyone who I've shown them to is extremely impressed. My son looked through them and was blown away. So much so that he ordered a new binocular harness and now it looks like I'll be ordering another pair.
Pros:
  • Clear, stable image.
Cons:
  • The grip will take some getting used to.

Must have!!

by Jtwessel91, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on July 30, 2024
These are by far the best innovation in the world of optics. I’ve got spotting scope on a tripod power and stability from my hands. Sure there’s better glass out there, but the technology is what makes these binos as great as they are. Highly recommend

Zulu6 20x42

by trees, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on July 9, 2024
I love the new Zulu6 20x42. They have a great set of glass and the operation is easy and intuitive. I can spot game much better and star gazing is amazing. Bird watching is a breeze. And trying to spot and round up live stock on the range is so much easier and quicker. Very good product and very well done Sig.

Image stabilization rocks!

by RCA, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on June 18, 2024
I'm addicted to image stabilized binoculars because they have finally made binoculars almost flawlessly useful. But they have one big enemy and it's heat waves, due to the fact that no binocular can undo heat waves, and the farther you can see, the worse the view will be degraded. The Sig Sauer 20x42 binoculars seem optimized for hunting in that you can see a heck of a long ways, but the objective lenses are too small to gather sufficient light to view small birds with detail at the distance they're capable of. For nearer bird watching in bright daylight, they're delightful. With these I can watch a bird on a nest when I can't see the nest with my naked eyes. The optical components may not be the very best, but you will see things that weaker glasses won't give you. A passenger jet flew overhead and I could see a prominent flashing light on its belly I never knew they had. In the world of stabilized binoculars these, and the very similar Opticrons, are phenominally compact and light weight. For taking on a hike they're unbeatable. And as for battery consumption, while they don't claim compatibility, I've been using them with 1.2V rechargeable batteries which I can perpetually replenish. The field of view is not great, but the ability to scan with partial stabilization is nice. The one problem I have with these small and lightweight binoculars is that they will still move up and down with every breath. The image remains sharp but the object I'm focused on moves within the pic...
