Most Helpful Positive Review Romeozero Elite Red Dot
I purchased this red dot to replace the red dot on my Springfield Hellcat. I liked the idea of having a red circle with a red dot center. I felt it would help in aquiring a target faster. The red dot is bright and sharp and is quick to pick up the red dot as I hoped it would. My only problem I had ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Romeo Zero Elite disappointment
I have a Romeo Zero mounted on another handgun and am satisfied with it. I bought the Zero Elite because of the circle dot reticle and it was an improvement over the single dot variant. However the controls are atrocious. To change the reticle you have to depress a button right behind the lens and i...

Sig is Reputable and Reliable

by Romeo Zero Elite, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on September 17, 2025
Sig has been making reputable and reliable firearms for many years. The Romeo Zero Elite was recommended to be used on my P322. Price was great on Opticsplanet! I did some online price comparison and Opticsplanet was by far the best price. Even beat military discount websites. So I made the purchase. Installation was simple. I wish the battery was top load. I have not gone to range to zero it yet. I am sure it will be a great addition to my Sig P322 plinker. Will write a review once out shooting. Thanks Opticsplanet for great price and fast shipping.
Pros:
  • Reputable and Reliable
Cons:
  • Battery on bottom
Best Used for:
  • plinking

Sig Romeo Zero Elite

by Dadmvp17, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on September 14, 2025
For ordering during a holiday sale, the delivery was around 5-7 days which met expectation. Installation was pretty simple. I only wish the product had shake awake, but that is my fault for not researching well enough. I mounted it on a CZ P09F Nocturne, and it feels good. I haven’t had a chance to get it to the range yet, but all signs are pointing in the right direction for a great holiday deal.
Pros:
  • Good price, quality name brand
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Budget firearm that gets improved value and operation having optics
Would recommend: Yes

it works, but not a fan

by Renz, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on August 21, 2025
The only reason why I purchased this red dot was because I got the wrong mount, for my application. I normally go with the Holosun red dots, preferring the circle-dot set up, but thought I would give the Sig a try because it fit the mount. This was installed on a S&W revolver, using an Allchin mount. The locator pin set up was less than desirable and when sighting it in, I ran out of adjustment before achieving a proper zero. I will try this on another revolver, but I don’t expect the results to differ.
I cannot speak on the reliability or repeatability of the red dot at this point, but I am not a fan of having to remove the sight in order to access the battery.
Pros:
  • Affordable
Cons:
  • Battery access

Button Placement NG

by Picky Shooter, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on August 13, 2025
The Sig Romeo red dot seems to work fine. Typical red dot with a bunch of intensity settings. I have three issues with it. First, the battery just sits between the sight and the slide. There is absolutely nothing holding it to the site. Second, when mounting it on my P365, the screws are offset so much to the rear of the site that the front does not sit totally flush on the slide. The slide plate that was removed has a little lip that sticks under a cutback notch in the slide. The Romeo site would benefit from the same setup. The last issue is the most annoying. The on/off button is stuck under the shroud and tucked back against the glass. It is impossible to turn on or set intensity without a tool like an Allen wrench or small screwdriver. If you try to turn it on with your finger you will likely get a finger print on the glass. It doesn’t have shake-awake so there is no way you could use this sight in a pressure situation unless you carry it 24/7 with it always on.
Pros:
  • Cheap
  • Small
Cons:
  • mounting
  • button placement
Best Used for:
  • CC
