Not Typical Sig Equipment

This sight is atrocious! The RMCS mount is exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. The dimming button is up by the sight picture. It is very small and the manual recommends using the enclosed Allen wrench due to its location on the sight It is so small and one slip of the Allen and it will scratch the optic. Good luck trying to dim it. The optic boasts that you can tap anywhere on the optic to dim it. But you have to enter that mode using… you guessed it, the dimming switch. No wonder this is a cheap red dot sight. There are better ones out there with a better price.

this optic is terrible

This optic is terrible. The battery in the bottom is a horrible idea. The small on/ off button is nearly impossible to push. A small tool is required. Trying to access the TAP feature with the small button, forget it. No way to tell which model ( with the dot circle or not) no way to tell which model ! Bottom line. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Defective doa

Received and mounted and turned on once for about 10 seconds after that it never worked again wasted money on multiple batteries. Bottom line do not buy an optic with 1632 battery do not buy an optic that requires a zero to change battery complete failure

Bright adjustable dot

This is the second one of these I have bought. The first one failed quickly and I sent it back to Sig who sent me a new one immediately. The dot on the sig is much better than the shield rmsc because you can adjust the brightness. It auto adjusts after than but you can set the baseline brighter. I can’t see the shield dot in a lot of situations because it’s too dim. My is on a hellcat and works fine. You could use the metal shield on it but it makes the profile wider than the hellcat. Would work great if you wanted an rmsc width on a G19 and used the metal surround. Overall I think it’s a great dot for a micro compact carry gun.
