SPYDERCO PERFECTION
THIS NIFE IS AS CLOSE TO PERFECT AS YOU CAN GET. IT ISNT TOO BIG FOR SMALLER TASKS AND IT ISNT TOO SMALL TO BE RULED OUT FOR DEFENSIVE USE. THE LOCKING MECHANISM IS ROCK SOLID. THE BLADE STOCK IS TOUGH AND KEEPS AN EDGE VERY WELL. THE ERGONOMICS ARE JUST RIGHT! THIS KNIFE IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

Good for What it Is
I bought this as an EDC and for what it is, it’s ok. I think it’s overpriced, but that’s based on personal preferences. It’s a little harder to open one-handed than I like.
Spyderco Para 2 3.45in
Excellent. Super sharp blade. Has a slim lightweight profile making it great for EDC. Handle is a little on the larger side so if you want something more compact go with the Para 3. Fast 2 day shipping and a great price at Optics Planet.
Pros:
- great price at Optics Planet
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- EDC

Para2 Cru-Wear version
As perfect as an EDC as it gets. Perfect size, deployment, and extremely sharp. The brown micarta feels a bit 'cheap' for such an otherwise premium knife. It looks much better after I apply a thin coat of camellia oil on the light brown micarta handle. The oil darkens and provides a less rough texture. The overall feel is much better. The blade...is what makes this version of the Para2 stands out. My first Cru-Wear steel blade and it's become a favorite in my collection: super sharp and looks great. The pivot deploys smoothly, as in all the Para2's. The compression locks works quite well with one hand. Overall it's a 9/10 perfect knife. The only thing I wish Spyderco should have included are nine extra T6*3mm screws to cover all the extra holes. With these holes exposed, the handle looks unfinished and small particles (e.g., sands, and food particles, etc.) will get into them. While the factory clip works okay; it would have been better if it is a true deep pocket design. The factory clip leaves ½ inch of the handle exposed. Even these minor design shortcomings, the Para2 remains one of the best pocket knives for daily use.
Pros:
- light weight
- Excellent Cru-Wear blade
- Smooth deployment
Cons:
- Light brown micarta feels less premium
- Should come with screws to cover the clip holds
- Not true deep pock clip
Best Used for:
- all around
- Daily

My new favorite!
I’ve been eyeing a pm2 for ages, but I never indulged because I’ve been intimidated by the size. As a woman with very small hands, I always thought it would be too big for me.
But it’s perfect! It’s so comfortable in my hand. Every Spyderco I’ve ever handled just fits so perfectly in my grip.
I love it!

Spyderco Para Military 2 - Classic for a reason
There's a reason Spyderco's PM2 is one of the most popular knives in their lineup. Although on the large side it carries well in the pocket and thanks to the Spidey hole deploys quickly. Mine has the CPM S45V blade, which is a good compromise between durability, edge retention and price. The flat ground blade enables this knife to slice through pretty much anything, although I do worry about the durability of the tip.
Overall, would definitely recommend this knife if you are looking for something that has a large blade for EDC.

spyderco paramilitary 2
Great all Roind knife, perfect size for legal carrying in most areas. Big enough but not to large. Fine tip for when doing smaller tasks and broad blade farther back for easy slicing if you need that. Not a thick blade but not delicate either.
