Most Helpful Positive Review Nice Optic
I bought the 5-25x56 optic which meets my needs. I'm putting this scope on a 30-06 custom build rifle to do 1000 yds. shooting. The optic very bright and clear from side to side. This scope is more comparable to a Schmit&Bender scope in quality at a lower price. Had not gotten to use this scope yet ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Not Impressed
Very disappointed in the clarity and focus, my first scope was a returned item so I sent it back and they sent me a new on with a sealed box. The scope was very clean and appear in very good condition. I took several days to view the scope before deciding to return it under their 30 day guarantee. ...

Foggy glass, blurry reticle

by IbexShooter20, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on April 5, 2023
Not a great scope. Read reviews that T5Xi was plagued with issues but still took a chance buying it on sale. Big mistake. The glass just isn’t clear and scope has parallax issues. Foggy and blurry reticle. I see double lines on the reticle and kept blinking thinking it was my eyes. Then another shooter looked and confirmed he saw the same. I own Vortex, Leupold, Nightforce scopes and more. This Steiner just doesn’t compare. No where close. Will be sending it back to see if I got a bad apple. If Steiner can’t fix it, it’s my first and last purchase from that company.

Great tool to have in your tool box.

by Jarrod, from KS, United States Written on March 16, 2023
I love the scope, and it probably helps I got it on a heck of a deal around Black Friday. First item that set me back scratching my head was how to lower the POI because this is my first zero stop optic. I dont believe the owners manual goes into this enough. To lower your POI you remove the knob, and turn the dial manually, because with the knob on it, per its design it's not designed to move lower than the three clicks built in for the closer than zero distance. Hope this helps someone.

VERY Impressive Scope

by Brian, from TX, United States Written on December 4, 2021
Exceptional glass, weight, and positive turret adjustment, (not sloppy). The FFP reticle is a little bit busy BUT with time and practice on the glass I became extremely comfortable. I have Leupold, Vortex, and Trijicon optics on other guns but this Steiner T5Xi has quickly become my favorite for hunting and target shooting. Very satisfied with this optic!!
Pros:
  • Warranty
  • Precision adjustments
  • Product availability
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Target shooting
  • Long range precision shooting

T5XI scope

by Mike, from ME, United States Written on September 14, 2021
A Sako rep came to our range with three of their rifles, all fitted with scopes. The most expensive rifle they had was outfitted with this exact scope. I had never shot a Sako, nor used this fancy scope. I was used to mine, which was no slouch, but wasn't even in the same general price range. Once I got behind this scope, it felt so natural, clean and crisp, easy to focus, and just all around felt like the best I've ever used. At 100 yards, my first three shots were almost tack drivers. Never having any experience with this scope, I was amazed at the precision and apparent durability of it. If I had money to play with, this would definately be on my short list of scopes. If I could upload my first target, shooting from cold, you might be amazed. Very easy on the eyes.
Pros:
  • Clarity, crispness, well designed and good fit.
Cons:
  • Price?
Best Used for:
  • Pretty much anything when you want to reach out there.

Glass is fantastic... if you like this SCR reticle, I'd say go for it.

by Rascal, from GA, United States Written on August 17, 2020
Alright, here we go.... The GLASS is pretty dang good I have to admit. I own ALL of the T5xi Mil Radian offerings. I feel like the glass in my 5-25x is better than my 3-15x. The M5xi line says the glass is "HAND PICKED". This makes me believe that whatever line we're talking about, there can and will be variances in clarity.
That being said, I'm very, very pleased with the clarity of my 5-25x56. In fact, it's my clearest glass and I own Burris, Bushnell Elite Tactical XRS II as well as Vortex Viper PST Gen II.
Most people would assume the Steiner would be the best out of those and they would be right about that. My brother in law owns a Night Force NXS and I think that scope is horrible honestly.
I'll be honest here... I paid $1,350 for my 5-25x56 two or three years ago when I purchased it as a blemish. There's a little machining mark on the objective lens housing, which I consider completely irrelevant in every way. What a freaking steal.... Moving on to the heart of the matter.
GLASS: Awesome.... seriously AWESOME.

TURRETS AND RETICLE: My elevation turret is dead nuts on the money so far. In fact, I was just up at the famous North Springs ELR range in Price, Utah about a week ago with family and we were hitting milk jugs at 1,000 yards. Here's the raw truth on the performance of my turrets. I got my DOPE and dialed 8.7 mils elevation for a 1,000 yard hold shooting the Tikka T3x Tac A1 in 6.5 Creedmoor loaded with 140 grain Federal GMM Sierra Match kings bulle...
