Most Helpful Positive Review Works as promised
Strike Industries makes some neat, innovative products. I loved their Glock Pistol retrofit red dot mount. I wanted an ambidextrous safety and ordered the HEX 60/90 selector switch, workmanship is excellent, it dropped right in with no gunsmithing needed.one installs it for the conventional 90 degree throw or reverse it for a 60 degree 'speed/competition 'safety. You also get a cover plate if you don't want the ambidextrous feature.Easy to install & works as promised!

A must-have for left-handed shooters

by Darren Lloyd, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on September 26, 2024
I've made it a habit to swap out all my safeties with one of these. I set them up with the "delete" on the left side of the lower. A lot of other options have the switch on both sides, but that's not my preference.
Pros:
  • Configurability
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Left-handed shooters

Better than a radian

by ty, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on April 2, 2023
The selector knob on the strike industries HEX is a very close match to a standard mil-spec style selector and it makes it a lot easier to actuate compared to the radian. The pyramid style knob grips the side of your thumb so much better than the flat boxy radian safety. I also like the 60* throw a lot.

Be Careful

by Lane Owen, Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on March 16, 2023
If the safety gets bumped just a little the trigger can easily become live. I got a 60/90 and not a 45/90 because I’ve seen people have the same issue and I thought a 60/90 would be better. It’s not a deal breaker for me because you can still have it as a 90 but I wish it was just a tad be safer in the 60 configuration. You just barely bump that safety and squeeze the trigger and it can go click. Or boom if it is loaded. Recommend? Sure but I’d give the person a warning about this problem. An inexperienced individual? No. Especially if it’s a younger kid.
Pros:
  • Comfort and affordability
  • easy to install
Cons:
  • can be dangerous
Best Used for:
  • An experienced and safe minded person

My go-to selector

by Paul, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on March 28, 2022
This is my second selector of this brand and it has become my favorite. Flipping the switch is tactile, smooth, and has an audible and satisfying click. Absolutely no mush or tendency to stick between positions. It is also modular which is great.

Nice safety selector

by AC, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on September 16, 2021
This ambi safety selector is pretty nice for the price. But i also think there are better ambi safety selectors in the same price range. The selector switch itself may have some pretty sharp edges which can be uncomfortable if you of switch from safe to fire.

Nice safety selector

by Chris, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on March 24, 2021
Kind of pricey, but I really like the feel of it as it has a nice smooth click on transition. I'm using the 60 degree side and and had no issues installing it. It looks basic coming from Strike but if your looking for a solid ambi 60/90 safety, I'd recommend it.

Needed a left handed safety lever

by Tony, from SD, United States Written on October 18, 2020
The safety lever always dug into my finger being lefty. With the option to just put the cap on instead of another lever I really like my rifle a lot more now. Seems to be quality materials and was easy to install. Has 60 degree and 90 degree throw option. Cap does not fit snug against rifle but doesnt end up being a bug deal. When I placed my order it said expected shipping in 2-3 months but they did get my whole order shipped in 2 weeks.
Pros:
  • Function
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Lefties and ambidextrous use

Good Selector

by GJ, from OR, United States Written on February 4, 2020
This selector is a good one; nice and solid. The lever arms a bit long for my liking, the one on the trigger finger side almost gets in the way while shooting. My finger rests over it when ejecting a mag or just keeping my finger off the trigger. Install is easy and the assembly felt solid. I do like that both levers are the same length.
