Works great. Fits well. A little tight gripping the shells at first but gets better with use. Recommended for anyone needing a quality side saddle that won't break or break the bank. Comes with installation hardware.

Budget gear
The side saddle came with incorrect hardware. The hardware itself was also rusted and corroded as if it had been exposed to moisture for some time. The screws on the back are not flush and will scratch your receiver. I placed some soft command strips over them to mitigate that. My 870 is equipped ...

Poorly machined internal threads. Will have to return.
While installing this product I learned that one of the screws with internal heads did not fit the matching bolt. Clearly it was machined very poorly, will have to return. The side saddle seems well built but that’s about the only positive thing I can speak to so far.

Crusty rusty
package came with a rusted screws bag - the matching pairs that go through the receiver. email to lyman solved that issue - very quick turnaround. but now another problem- the three screws in the back of the plate protruded far enough to scratch the receiver. had to file them down about 1mm each so they sit slightly below flush - still used electrical tape to make sure the receiver is not undully marked. overall - meh. but the price is right. and apparently lyman's service is outstanding

Seems decent, but missing hardware to install
Overall the product seems like decent quality. But when I went to install it on my shotgun, I discovered that I had been given the pieces to replace the small pin in my receiver but nothing for the large pin. As it is, it's useless until I can find the hardware

Good value for the price
This is a nice sidesaddle option for the price. I wish it came with a protective felt or something else to act as a buffer between the receiver and sidesaddle, to prevent scratching & marring. I just added a layer of electrical tape to the back of this, which seems to work for now.

TacStar slimline sidesaddle
Great product fits my maverick 88 nice and doesn't take up that much space. Only thing i didnt like is it comes with a snap cap blank shell already inserted into one of the spaces. When i went to put my 00 buck shell in that same spot it was very loose and falls out. It would be 100% better if it was placed in package outside carrier.

Works great!
Removing from packaging took longer than the actual install! Does as advertised, and holds the shells tight. Design is nice and has a very sleek look. One thing to note, after a couple rounds, one carrier became slightly loose, but still good.

Slimline side saddle
Great product. The sleek slim look is a good upgrade to your shotgun and it's easy to install. They simply all hardware needed with instructions. I have a aftermarket Magpul pump handle and it didn't affect it at all.

Good Quality but fit up issues with my 870 hardwood home defense
I purchased this side saddle for my 870 hardwood home defense. The product is made from good materials and it fit up perfect. Installation was a breeze it comes with the wrenches needed to install. Once it was installed I went to rack the slide and hit hit the side saddle. It stopped the slide about an inch and a half from the open position. I was disappointing because it is a nice and plain product, but it wont work with the hardwood furniture. I would recommend it if you are going to put it on another model, but don't buy it if you have the hardwood home defense unless you don't mind doing some modification. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to modify it or send it back.
