Most Helpful Positive Review First Talley Purchase
I don't typically buy aluminum aluminum rings or bases but I heard good things about these. They installed true and seem well machined. I know some people mentioned not lapping them, but I do it as a normal course of business. They lapped well with minimal effort. I'd buy them again.
Most Helpful Negative Review Poor machining
The machining quality of things rings was substandard. The crossbones weren't even centered. Who cares but its an indication of lack of attention to detail. The real problem is how poorly the contact surface of the bottom of the ring where it meets the top rail was machined. They left an island righ...

waste your money if you want to, but these thing are junk!

by Carter Holland, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on March 6, 2025
Okay so here we go… bought the six screw version for my scope tube is a 34mm so obviously i got the 34mm rings. First complaint for 200 dollar you don’t even get a tool! Wow vortex will give you a Allen wrench with there cheapest set of rings!!!!. Now here is the real problem I tighten the screw to the manufacturer specified torque settings. And for some reason it squeezed my scope so hard i could not use my parallax on my scope. Don’t blame the torque wrench its calibrated and is fine! Now you could say that maybe my scope can’t handle 20lb of torque to the scope… well wrong I normally use vortex PMR rings and i use 22lb and it’s perfect so only thing left is that these rings are terrible!!!! Not to mention the screw that comes with the rings can strip super easily they are not good. They are very weak. I’ve actually never been more upset with a product. 200$ for this. Guys/gals go buy Vortex PMR 100x better stay away from talley rings. I had a pair before gave them the benefit of the doubt because those were bad to, but wow what a terrible product!

very solid scope rings

by E, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on October 9, 2017
I was looking for the most solid set of scope rings for my Sightron scope with 30mm tube. I bought the Talley Tactical rings because I had previous experience with them before - they were one of the few scope ring manufacturers I found that had rings for my Winchester 70 .223 WSSM. In addition, every time I contacted them (Talley) they responded very quickly. Because I was impressed with their previous products and customer service, I chose to check with them prior to making subsequent scope ring purchases. Once again Tally came through. They answered my question quickly, and I'm impressed with these scope rings I got from them. Talley seems like a great company. I got the black rings with 6 screws per scope ring (3 screws on each side of each ring). Sure they weigh a little more, but this is for a benchrest rifle...sure they take up a little more room on the scope and rail, but I had plenty of space on both. Your situation may differ, but these were not issues for me. Take this review with a grain of salt, I'm somewhat inexperienced when it comes to scopes and scope rings, but I'm extremely happy with these rings. These appear to be very high quality. That said, they may be bit pricey for some, but seems like most high quality scope rings are. My only critique is that the "crossbones" on the scope rings are unnecessary - just not my thing. I decided to live with it because they're subdued, and you can't really see them when the scope is attached. I knew they w...

by John, from TN, United States Written on August 30, 2017
Perfect fit and function companion for the Huskemaw 5 x 30 x 56 tactical scope. Built strong to eliminate the worry of scope and ring base failure. I would definitely recommend these to any serious shooter setting up a long distance rifle.

Hands down perfection!!! I mounted these on my custom built Rem 700. Broke out the lapping bar and alignment rods only to find I didn't need them at all. Talley rings are now my new standard for rings.

Excellent rings

by Gunner, Verified Owner from MS, United States Written on July 12, 2016
Got these to mount a Leupold VXR 4-12x50mm scope on new POF-USA P308. Very solid rings, easy to install on the rail. Really not much to it. I got the medium rings, instead of the high rings, as the P308 has a removable rail section to provide a scope recess. Perfect fit and key for getting the scope closer to the bore and for providing a natural sight line with a good cheek weld as scopes tend to sit high on a MSR platform anyway.

Great Rings

by Chuck, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on January 29, 2016
These rings were milled perfectly, no lapping required. Fit the rail on my rifle perfectly. I purchased these rings for use with a Sightron III 10-50x60 scope. I have a lapping kit and was prepared to polish away, but my alignment bars aligned perfectly and the rings were milled so well I had no fear of my scope getting scratched when tightening. Good product.

Rifle Rings

by Robar, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on February 27, 2015
These rings are of very nice quailty. They definatly have a unique look and the fact that they already come in a nice flat dark earth color makes them a nice addition to a desert hunting rifle or even something used in the field. The crossed bones engraving gives these a custom look as well.

Excellent product that not only installs very easily but has the design and strenght to handle repeated high caliber recoil and maintain a dead bull zero. I have three sets now and they are worth every penny.
