Made my Mosin even better!
I've had my Mosin-Nagant M91/30 for 30+ years. I've always loved shooting it. I added a scope mount and had the bolt handle modified to allow the scope. The original trigger had a very long pull and I could never tell for sure when it was going to release the bolt and fire. I purchased this Timney trigger and replaced the original. I had to inlet quite a bit of wood to fit the new trigger assembly, but it went together very nicely. It shoots like a dream. Very crisp trigger with no slack and a light pull. I love it!
Real nice trigger
If you want to transform your 91/30 this trigger is the way to go, night and day difference with the stock trigger. That being said it cost more than the rifle, lol.

Better than Advertised
My M39 was always a great shooter for a service rifle.
Now it's an OUTSTANDING service rifle.
I have plenty of newer, fancier, latest tech rifles to compare it with, and they do well.
The 39 is just more fun now that I'm not spending my time playing with a lousy trigger.

Easy installation and smooth trigger pull
Since my Mosin nagant original stock was breaking for some odd reason to the point that it can spear the person it would break on and after looking at multiple stock options I ended up buying an Archangel stock so the timney trigger installation was easy that it took less than 10 min. I dry fired it and after going to the range and putting 30 rounds thru it I highly recommend this trigger and I think I have mine on 1.5 pounds since the pull is super smooth on top of that you get a safety feature, my only issue is the trigger cost more than the gun itself $97 but so did the stock lol
Pros:
- Easy Installation - Great Trigger
- trigger break, adjustability
- Better trigger performance
- Safety feature
Cons:
- None

Excellent trigger
I was having issues with my factory trigger on my m44 mosin nagant, and the timney exceeded my expectations. This has totally changed the feel of shooting the rifle. It wasn't very difficult to dremel the the stock to fit this trigger. I would recommend however if your not too handy with a dremel, get some help from someone who is; just so you don't make your rifle look bad. I plan on sporterizing the rifle a little more with a boyds stock (who provide the option for an inlet for this triger in the stock).

Timney Trigger for Mosin Nagant
I had added an Archangel Precision Stock to my Mosin Nagant. It came set up to receive a Timney Trigger. With disassembly and reassembly it took maybe 15 minutes to install. Nice clean trigger pull. Very satisfied.

Huge upgrade
Best value upgrade you could possibly make on your Mosin Nagant. I had an older ATI stock and it took a little modification to get it in there. I assume it will be an easier install on the newer ATI stocks. But back to the trigger...it is crisp. I also appreciate the nice addition of a safety.
Pros:
- value
- Function
Cons:
- None

what a difference
For anyone that has shot a Mosin, you know how squishy and unpredictable the trigger break is. When I installed the Timney trigger upgrade, my heart began racing from excitement. Now all I have to do is think about pulling the trigger and it shoots. It says that it’s adjustable but honestly I left it on whatever it shipped as. Great addition to anyone wanting to gain full use out of a classic.
Pros:
- safety
- Looks & Feels Great
Cons:
- None for me

A lot smoother action
Initially I thought that these triggers had a screw or an adjustment to choose what poundage for the pull you preferred on the trigger. Even though that's not true it's far better than the original stock trigger that came with the gun. What REALLY sold me was that with this trigger it can with a safety lock! Something that this gun didn't come with or ever even featured as an add on option! Overall this was a solid purchase even for the price SOLID!
Pros:
- Safe locking feature
Cons:
- Had to modify stock to except trigger

Made my Mosin a dream to shoot
I don't have anything bad to say about this except I felt the price was a heavy lift since it was just 10 dollars less than what I paid for the Mosin 5 years ago. But what an improvement this trigger makes, clean and crisp break. The idea of the safe is nice for hunting, it's easy to function from Safe to Fire. Easy to install, didn't have to get the Drexel out at all.
Pros:
- Makes a good gun better
- Clean Break, Easy Install, Looks Good
Cons:
- price
Best Used for:
- hunting
- distance shooting

Mosin-Timney
Only gave it four because I haven’t actually fired the weapon with the new trigger yet. However, I did dry fire, and WOW what a difference! I was skeptical at first that it would fit, looking at the original trigger, but it went in smooth as silk. Added bonus was that the Archangel stock was already milled to accept the Timney with the integral safety! Happy as a clam with this thing! Would highly recommend getting one if you have a Mosin. Day and night difference!
Pros:
- Awesome pull, love the fact that it has an integral Safety. Much better than the original.
Cons:
- None
Would recommend: Yes
