Most Helpful Positive Review I've owned a few ACOGS, this is my favorite
Love it. SUPER clear. Rugged. Daylight bright. Works as expected. What else should you expect from Trijicon? I have owned just about every Trijicon and something about tritium's shelf-life bugs me. LED and bomb proof... yes please!
Most Helpful Negative Review Trijicon ACOG Quality
Received the ACOG and immediately noticed the LED was not working. My first assumption was the included battery was the problem, unfortunately not the case. Tried new battery and still no LED. The reason I purchased the LED ACOG because of my old eyes. I purchased an VORTEX Strike Eagle LED scope fo...

Favorite carbine scope

by Gunner257, Verified Owner from SD, United States Written on July 16, 2025
Carbines are field equipment, and this is my favorite field scope. It’s rugged and fairly light.
The brand is battle tested, and the reticle is simple and accurate if you use the correct round. With busier reticles, I have sometimes found myself using the wrong crosshairs when under time pressure, but never with this one.
The exit pupil and eye box are enormous, which is good for hastyposition shooting.

TA 110 3.5x35 LED ACOG

by Tim Rose, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on February 26, 2025
If you are looking for an optic that has some of the best glass in the industry and is nearly bomb proof, look no further. If you’re worried about the eye relief horror stories regarding the 4x series, stop. This 3.5x35 has a better eye box and eye relief than any magnifier is is more forgiving than most LPVOs. I coupled it with a top mounted dot and have the best of both worlds with this combination of optics.
Pros:
  • duribility
  • Glass clarity
  • super simple design.
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • All around general use when paired with a RDS

BEST OPTIC EVER MADE!!!

by Joker, from CA, United States Written on February 4, 2025
There is a reason it has been around almost 40 years and it is still being used. I have put 3,000 rounds through my AR-15 and the optic has never really lost zero. A QUALITY MOUNT IS KEY!!! My ACOG uses a Larue Tactical Mount....Going on 5 years using this thing and I love it. Not only functional but it can take a SERIOUS beating! Best bang for the buck.
Pros:
  • great glass
  • Holds zero
  • TOUGH AS NAIL
Cons:
  • MUST LEARN BINDON AIMING CONCEPT
Best Used for:
  • Battle rifle

Great quality

by A guy, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on October 13, 2024
Glass clarity is phenomenal, eye box and relief is very forgiving and very clear. This optic is built to be thrown off a cliff and still work. Weight balances my rifle well for me but the only issue I had was the out of the box adjustments were pretty far off when I went to zero my rifle but not a big deal.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CARRY HANDLE WTF

by Oregunner, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on May 16, 2024
My email to Trijicon :

Hi, I recently purchased an ACOG. Specifically model 100494, from Optics Planet .com
My intention was to use this optic on an A2 carry handle. It's a milspec, quality A2 upper receiver. Upon trying to mount it, I noticed that the optic base did not fully seat into the channel of the carry handle unless I mounted it fully forward using the last threaded hole in the bottom of the optic base. This put the optic only partially sitting in the channel of the carry handle and I was skeptical. Sure enough, I tried sighting in today and it would not maintain zero.

Is this model not intended or designed to be used on a carry handle? If not, why isn't this clearly stated ANYWHERE? It clearly has a base that appears to be compatible with a carry handle, but it doesn't have angled cuts to allow clearance for the slope of the handle channel.
I spent a lot of money on your optic. I wanted only this model with the variable LED illumination.
So I'd like an explanation on how this is compatible with a carry handle OR why it isnt stated anywhere that it's not.
At this point I'm going to have to file angled reliefs on each side of the optic base or drill an extra hole in my carry handle to accommodate two screws.
Either way, it's bullshit that I have to bubba up a $1200, purpose built optic.
I have not left a review on optics planet yet pending your response.

Thank you,

Aaron

Excellent do-all optic for 5.56

by Jared Williams, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on January 24, 2024
Purchased this to run on my HK 416, and it does the job perfectly. Rugged, tough and can always leave it on without it dying in a few days like LPVOs. Glass and reticle is crystal clear, has forward mount to run an RMR or similar for passive NVG shooting. The eye box is drastically better than 4x ACOGs, and gives you a lot more flexibility when shooting around cover and birms. Weighs less than my NF ATACR in a badger 1.93 mount while still having very useful magnification and excellent 1x with my mounted RMR. Definitely recommend getting a KRAM or Unity COG for this one if you're tall though. I went with the Chevron reticle and was fairly skeptical, but I've learned to love it almost immediately. Extremely easy holds and quick target acquisition. Definitely keeping this optic.
Pros:
  • Excellent Glass
  • long battery life
  • Great eye relief
  • Large eyebox
  • Extremely rugged construction
  • Forward RMR mount for NVG
  • Chevron reticle is easy to use
Cons:
  • Original mount is a tad heavy and bulky
Best Used for:
  • 5.56 14.5 to 16" barrels

Awesome scope

It just works. No complaints at all. Looks good, optical quality is good, reticle is good. Illumination is extremely bright, if you care about that. Eyebox is super comfortable.
