Expert Review

improved over the years in my opinion

by Brandon B, Gear Expert from IL, United States Written on June 29, 2021
I had some bad experiences with this item initially while serving in Iraq with the Marine Corps. I noticed that the zeroing would always be wrong after some of the stress and extreme wear and tear we would put these optics through. Jumping through windows, out of helicopters, we knocked these things around pretty good. Years later, I have noticed that is not the case anymore. These seem to be much more stable and sturdier to hold up the rigorous demand some customers require of them. I am not sure if my experience was just one sided since civilians may not push the limits of this items as do our armed forces, but the quality of the item and the reliability has improved over the years.
Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent optic
Came as ordered, fast shipping. Had trouble finding it at other big firearm sites - happy Optics Planet had them in stock! I initially mounted to my AR15 SBR with the included mount to sight in. Got consistent hits within 4" at 100 yds off sandbags. This is for practical rifle matches, so I am happ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Acog review
Don't get me wrong, the trijicon acog is the single toughest optic produced today. I would not recommend it until you have seen through one for yourself. If your eyes are not perfect or you have a bit of an astigmatism, you may have trouble with this reticle. I have an astigmatism so, when I look th...

Horseshoe Dot FTW

by JustinC, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on January 23, 2025
This is a cool fixed power scope. You can use and should use it with both eyes open like you would a red dot/ RMR/ EoTech. As well as one eye for precision shots at distance. This is a good short to medium range scope.
Pros:
  • Reticle pattern
  • looks cool (in my humble opinion)
  • Fiber optic sight
Cons:
  • Eye relief (minor)
Best Used for:
  • AR platform and all that will accept it

trijicon acog 4x32

by john john, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on August 9, 2024
It was exactly what I expected. Easy to zero and easy to lock on targets. If its to bright put some tape over the sensor ( I dont know the actual name) and it'll dim.down the brightness. Ive always been a fan of the acog. Plus i know it can take a beating and still function like its suppose to.

great optic

by Bryan, Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on November 11, 2023
I really like this optic. It has a little magnification and it is very easy to see the reticle. At night the reticle is a little more dim but I can still see it no problem. The glass on it is very good and things in it look crystal clear.

Green horseshoe 6.8 spc Acog

by Bill, from AZ, United States Written on June 22, 2023
This Acog with green horseshoe reticle was mounted on a LWRC six8. It mounted and zeroed quickly. The green reticle may be better than the red. In the S/W desert environment it contrasts well and does not flood out or cover up targets. I purchased this optic while it was on sale. It is my second Acog and I’m pleased with this optic, it was a good purchase.

Great scope

by JeepSmith, from MI, United States Written on October 20, 2022
I've always wanted an ACOG, the clarity of the glass is unreal compared to other scopes. The eye relief to me is better then the other scopes. I had taken a look down a scope, before I bought, like a try before you buy thing. It was a buy once and cry later for the price however, this changes how I look at scopes from here on out because Trijicon changes the game of scopes and brings it to another level. Just one guys opinion.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • A bit pricey
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Awesome ACOG

by Treehound, from MI, United States Written on November 23, 2021
Super happy with my new scope. I am new to the ACOG game but so far I’m super happy. It’s kind of hard to give a detailed review but I can say this for sure, I’ll be getting another one. Very tough and easy to use.

Acog 6.8 spc

by Eric Branstine, Verified Owner from KS, United States Written on June 22, 2020
This is by far the most expensive scope I have ever bought, that said it is well worth it! This thing is built like a tank. I have this on my 6.5 Grendel and can switch it out with my 6.8 spc with no real ballistic disadvantages. My only complaint, and it is minor is like most say is the eye relief is only about inch and half to two inches. This causes the scope to be mounted as nearly as far back as possible and or using the (M4 stock) at about the mid range of extension. I recommend getting the rubber flip caps to protect this fine scope. Just buy it!
Pros:
  • Durability
  • Clarity
Cons:
  • Eye Releif
Would recommend: Yes

Great scope but pay attention to what you buy

by FN scar, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on April 10, 2019
It’s a great scope but I really screwed up and bought one with the screws side on the same side as my handle so every time I go to load my gun I pinch my fingers on the screws and handle so please don’t make the same mistake that I did and make sure you got the screws on the opposite side of your dominant hand. So that 1 thousand dollars kinda pissed away. Luckily it’s on my FN scar so I could just swap the handle to the other side but I wouldn’t have to had I just paid attention and used my brain. Oh well. Still a very great scope
Pros:
  • Great scope at a very good discounted price
Cons:
  • If you are right handed make sure the locking screws are on the right side
