Most Helpful Positive Review I waited to write this review.. 4.7 stars
I thought long and hard before buying this on sale. It was between this acog and the ta33. This was my first acog and the most I've ever spent on an AR optic. The things I love.. compact size, light weight, crystal clear glass, acss reticle, generous eye relief, also the reticle is clear and define...

Most Helpful Negative Review Not good for astigmatism
I am almost 67. I wear glasses and have astigmatism. Red dots sights are useable but the dot is not crisp regardless of brand. I bought this scope largely on the basis of two YouTube reviews that said that this might be a good alternative to red dots for astigmatism sufferers. Sadly for me that ...

Great ACOG

by Bobby, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on June 27, 2019
This Trijicon ACOG Compact 1.5x16S Riflescope with ACSS Reticle has been great. The green ACSS tritium and fiber optic reticle is nice and bright when needed and more dim when needed as well. The 1.5x magnification works great with one eye closed and with both eyes open as a “red dot” optic.

It is very durable although I have not really tried to test it’s limits. I have removed and reinstalled it a number of times and it has always held zero. I would recommend this anyone lookong for a non-battery operated illuminated optic.

Trijicon ACOG Compact ACSS Reticle (Green)

by YAPPO, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on October 3, 2018
This was put on a PTR 9CT (mp5 clone) and must say this is the best optic I own. Its best advantages over my EO TECH and and others is the clarity, weight and size. The optic exceeds my expectation and with the quick detach from Midwest makes it even better. The reticle stays illuminated and adjusts from indoor/outdoor with no issues. In this case, you pay for what you get and I would do it all over again. Keep in mind, this does have a little magnification which can make it a little difficult to pick up the reticle quickly indoors around corners.
Pros:
  • Quality/Worth the price
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • SBR

WAY TOO SMALL

by SecretAsianMan, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on July 1, 2018
This is way too small the ACSS reticle is hard if not impossible to see and use. Way too small to be effective or useful. I’m so very disappointed with this item. Do not buy save your money and buy the TA31 ACOG instead

Mini ACOG good to go

by USTradition, from PA, United States Written on April 15, 2018
Well it’s everything you would expect from a Trijicon acog except in 1.5 power. It’s very light weight even with the QD mount (American Defence Mfg) in this case. The only negative is if you are under a shaded area looking out into a bright field background the reticle is at its least profound, still usable but not as quick acquisition depending on the color and brightness of background. Also, I went with the green color, I’ve compaired both red and green side by side and for me green is more profound and quick to pick up in “most lighting/backgrounds” however there are instances where red was the clearer and easier to see over the green, for myself green is the color that worked the best 70%+ of the time. What ever color you choose will excel over the other colors in certain backgrounds it’s just the nature of the beast all colors work better then the others in a particular situation so depending on your eyes and background you are most likely to use it in will determine what’s best for you. Hope this helps someone who also is unsure of what color to choose. ACSS reticle is smaller then I expected and wish it was bigger but after playing with it for a few days it something you can get use to and definitely make use of the BDC and rage estimation. Just have to practice and get use to it. Best reticle option currently available, better for further shooting then the circle dot. Side note- the BDC dots are easier to distinguish and pick up in green then in red (for myself) also ...

Great for my astigmatism

by Gogobuffalo, from IN, United States Written on December 24, 2017
Bummer to here about the astigmatism problems the other reviewer has, but I have astigmatism as well, and this is my favorite optic I’ve ever bought. Reticle is crisp, glass is amazing, it’s lightweight, and it is durable. My one regret is getting green over red. Think the red may be easier to spot in certain situations.
