USMC Trijicon ACOG TA31RCO-M4CP Kit
Upon receiving the USMC selected Trijicon ACOG Kit, I was impressed with the optical & material quality. It was sighted at home on my AR15M4 16" bbl using the down loadable form from Trijicon, then proceeded to the 25 yard plinking range firing two 3 shot groups which only required minor elevation adjustment after which the 100 yard range was visited firing on target requiring no adjustment. The 4X ACOG tritium/fiber optic reticle was bright in both shade and direct sun light it is designed for quick target aquisition and is a joy to use. Based upon that experience, I now plan to purchase the ...

It's an ACOG, what else is there to say? They're battle proven to be reliable and durable with crystal clear glass and a wide FOV. The eye relief is short, but nothing a little practice won't get you used to. Great piece to add to a rifle.

TA31RCO-M4 ACOG
USMC ACOG showed up in a timely manner with no issues. The new style ACOGs do come with the rear lugs to piggy back a red dot I hadn’t seen that mentioned in previous reviews

Combat proven
If you’re reading this then you know what’s up. ACOG/RCO: these things are bullet proof, reliable, work just as needed, and have over two decades of combat under their belts. Despite being considered obsolete, everyone still uses and plans on using these for the foreseeable future so don’t take my word for it. BDC is dead on. The illumination works relative to ambient light so it’s always bright enough to see, even in complete darkness thanks to the power of radiation. That’s right you might even get superpowers if you stare through it long enough. These things will make you feel like you’re clearing the city again with your boys. (Clone builders) or maybe feel like the guy from your favorite GWOT movie. I don’t know. It’s hard to hate on these. Oh, and the only way I can see it happening is if it takes a directly hit from a howitzer, the warranty covers it off it ever breaks!
Pros:
- durable
- Warranty
- great reticle
- BDC
- no batteries
- Super powers
Cons:
- Heavy
- Bad eye relief
Best Used for:
- Any rifle
- clone builders
- anyone looking for a robust top of the line fixed power scope

Perfectly rugged and simple
This RCO model includes the flash hider and mount. Got it with the red chevron, which in my opinion works reasonably well for close shots once you've practiced on it if you don't have access to a mounted red dot. I ended up buying a rear-shifting mount to help with eye relief given the fixed stock I have to have in NJ. Thought about the TA02 but liked the lower weight of this option.
If this is your first ACOG you will be impressed by the build quality. Recommend learning about how to use the range estimation and BDC features of the reticle. Nothing is without compromises, but well worth the money.

Pros:
- Lightweight
- clear glass
- easy to use
- rugged
- Unmatched quality
- Lots of light gathering ability
- don't have to worry about batteries
Cons:
- eye relief can be tricky
- not the cheapest solution
Best Used for:
- a light weight build for targets out to 300-400 meters
