Exactly what was needed
Used this Troy to replace the standard A2 gas block with two taper pin holes. I didn’t want to leave the uncoated barrel exposed if I could help it. This does the job by about 95% as about 1-2mm of uncoated barrel is exposed on the bottom of the barrel on the front ring. Functions just as expected.

Perfect replacement for A2 front site/gas block
This is the best option to replace an A2 front site/gas block that was installed on the bare barrel before coating it. This will cover the bare metal left after removing the A2 sight. It also installs easily, stays in place, and works flawlessly.

Needed a solution to remove my A2 Front sight
I want to convert my A2 standard AR with a 2-piece handrail. I found this gas block which allowed me to remove the A2 front sight since it covers the holes in the barrel. It has performed flawlessly with no escaping gas and fit perfect with the Midwest Industries Rail. I highly recommend if you have a similar project.

Great Product
I am converting a rifle from fixed sight to an M-Lok hand guard. This was perfect for the purpose intended, however, I found this to be one of the best gas blocks that I have used in the recent past.
Installation was very smooth and alignment was easy.

flush fitting works like any other
no adjustment but fit and finish is perfect! if you have an older barrel that's parkerized with a pinned front post this block is a perfect match if you plan on adding a free float. not something i would recommend for a new parts build.
