I’ve been using Troy battle sights for years. They have been in the business for quite sometime and in my opinion are still some of the best sights that you can buy.
Pros:
- Sleek design, durable, accurate

Troy folding sights are sturdy built. Little disappointed in the brightness of the tritium don't know if it's worth the extra money that being said still nice sights. Don't know if I would spend the money on the tritium again.

I left another review for the DOA rear sight i bought as well. I should've listened to other reviews on here about these Troy Tritium iron sights but sometimes you sum others complaining up to their own experience. How could I go wrong with Troy I say? I just got a rear DOA sight, and a front M4 Tritium sight, and checked the tritium on both in a very controlled pitch black room. after 30 minutes of eyeball adjustment I began the test. I have 20/20 vision. It was a non stop struggle to even see anything. I knew in 1 second I wanted to return these. You can BARELY see any type of glow in total darkness. These would be fair price at $45/$50. they grab you with the DOA diopter apeture. Past that you're way overpaying. Sending them back. I also emailed Troy ahead of time to ask directly if they honor their own warranty on dead Tritium and they never emailed back. I told them if they can't answer I'm sending them back. no reply came. Turns out everyone was right but it was worse than they said. I am a fan of Troy I have other Troy products that are great. but these are absolutely ridiculous. Totally overpriced. Tritium rating 1 to 10 (10 being bright) Troy's can BARELY rank 1. it's actually HARD to see any hint of a glow. I cannot emphasize that enough.I wanted to keep these. but I wanted tritium more than a good diopter and the high price does not justify anything here. Basic $50 green Truglo tritium sights meanwhile are a pleasant 8/9 for glow, not too bright not too dim. These ...

Cons:
- DEAD ON ARRIVAL
- tritium doesn't glow under no light
- not useable in lowlight whatsoever

I guess this was 'My Bad' for ordering this Sight while I was recuperating from a major neck surgery, because I wasn't able to use it until now -months later; which was too late to return/exchange it. But here's the deal:
1. The coating of Tritium was so old, it was un-noticeable during daylight shooting.
2. The Tritium was applied to only One (1) side of the Sight pin.
IMHO I wouldn't complain, if I'd of only spent $25-$50 for this; because that's what happens when you skimp. But I didn't skimp -not IMO! I paid good money because it was so high on their ratings.
But here's something else I didn't like:
There's no 'True' Quartering usage for this Sight. You can Only use it on 180deg. turns. And that was also a surprise. Especially for such a Sight that is so highly favored. (I guess our expectations have really fallen to pay More for less!)

Unless you plan to replace the front sight every 5 years or so after it goes dark, you'd be better off buying a less expensive sight. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So, I’ll start by saying this is a very good front BUIS. I prefer the m4 style over the hk style and these look so similar to the military front sight when looking down the rifle. I love that they are metal and click solidly in place when placed up. I will say the only knock on these I can give is the front post is rectangular in shape as opposed to a perfect square like a standard post, and there is only one end that has tritium on it… so if you need to adjust your height up/down and want the tritium dot facing you so you can use it… you need to turn the sight blade 360 degrees instead of just being able to turn it 90. So you may not be able to fine tune it as well. Don’t regret my purchase by any means, but if I were to get another set I’ll just get the front post without the tritium bc if you’re shouting at night most people are going to be using white light (or if you got a deep wallet you’re using NVG’s and a laser and not using irons at all) and you wont see the tritium on the post whenever the white light does come on. Great sight but my advice is save the money and get two of the standard front sights and spend a fraction less for the same performance. I give it 4 stars with the only hard knocks being price and the fact they aren’t quite as adjustable.
Pros:
- Proven design
- dependability
- military styled
- Familiarity

Rolex stopped using tritium paint in 1998. Use glow on product or a red dot with night vision if your so inclined. This is a bit pricey because a gram of tritium cost about $30,000. I’m not knocking the iron sight but I’m amazed what is being used on products nowadays.

Excellent quality sights. Very audible and able to feel when sights are in ready/stowed positions. Feels secure against unintended adjustments. Pictured sight has trijicon logo on front post . Mine are Night Fision brand name. But, it’s Troy so I assume the quality is up to their standards. I feel retailers should update the pictures though. Just putting this info out there in case it matters to some.
Pros:
- compact
- Secure Adjustments
- well built
Best Used for:
- hunting
- low light acquisition

Received my order promptly and love this front sight Troy Ind. Had ordered the HK version but the back order wait was indefinite. OpticsPlanet got this to me in just over a week. Sight feels sturdy and doesn’t wobble at all; super easy installation. If you buy cheap, you buy twice!
