Expert Review

Fastest range to target possible while in your shooting position!

by Stevey GB, Gear Expert from TX, United States Written on June 13, 2023
My first TRYBE DIMA 1000 experience was in combination with the TRYBE LEO 1-8x24 scope. These two products work with each other, so the yardage read by the DIMA 1000 is displayed directly in the field of view of your riflescope while aiming!
I installed the scope and mount on what is labeled #2, a TRYBE .300 BLK heavy nitride barrel with A2 bird cage. It shoots everything well and is an excellent candidate to use for this test because of the huge trajectory of the subsonic .300 BLK cartridge.
I installed the 1-8 scope using the included TRYBE mount and the accessory picatinny ring half it came with. This is where the DIMA would go, mounted directly on top of my riflescope mount with the 30mm accessory ring half. I bore sighted it across the shop at about 20 yards and later took it out for a spin at the range, sighting it in at 50 yards. The LEO has excellent optics and adjustments and I tell you, it sure looks and performs just like a Strike Eagle with a cooler reticle that can be used for both 223 and 308 cartridge families.
After cleaning I installed the DIMA in its 30mm ring onto the accessory pic rail on top of the scope and leveled it by eye. I removed the little screw covering the integral laser in the objective of the DIMA, just under the emitter and receiving windows of the rangefinder. My scope had been sighted in and I measured the DIMA’s optical center at about 2 inches about the scope’s optical center.
I attached the remote pressure pad the scope came with. ...

Most Helpful Positive Review Ideal Tool for Efficient Target Ranging
Got a chance to go to an outdoor range that had steel targets ranging out to 1000 yards. My TRYBE DiMA1000 locked in on each target as I worked my way through sets of targets starting at 50 yards all the way out to the 1000 yard gong. The DiMA made the long range course infinitely easier to complete...

Most Helpful Negative Review good unit with big problem
Unit was nice, but the battery would go from full charge to no charge in a matter of minutes. This is due to cold weather exposure. works fine in warmer temps, but not in cold conditions. Was going to try a warranty replacement, but after slow ground shipping and being told about a 2 week process t...

TRYBE Optics DiMA1000 – Practical Field Review

by Enam Chowdhury, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on June 10, 2025
TRYBE Optics DiMA1000 – Practical Field Review

The TRYBE DiMA1000 is a clean, purpose-built rangefinder—think of it like a laser spotlight. No ballistic calculator, no app pairing—just raw ranging power. For my use, that’s perfect. I run it alongside my Revic PMR 428, which already handles the ballistic side. All I need is a solid distance reading, and the TRYBE gets it done.

I’ve ranged out to 700 yards with no issues. Fast returns, good visibility, and simple operation. I also compared it with my SIG Kilo 2400 BDX and saw about a 2–3 yard variance, though in fairness, that could be due to minor zeroing error or slight angle differences when ranging.
Pros:
  • Pros: Quick target acquisition Bright, clear display Lightweight and intuitive
Cons:
  • Cons: No ballistics (by design) Max range is practical, not extreme

Helped me scope out a pronghorn!

by Jaycee, from CA, United States Written on April 4, 2023
Last year I went on a pronghorn hunt in Colorado. If you don't know, these animals are incredibly fast and have insane eyesight... which means you need to dial in your shot quickly and be on target as you might only get one chance. I had this dima on my 8.6blackout chambered rifle and was able to quickly gauge the distance at 307 yards. Quickly adjusted my riflescope and BAM, nailed it. The beauty is now hanging on my wall. Well done TRYBE! Haven't had a chance to test it in cold weather, but it worked great for me on a 50 degree day.
Pros:
  • compact
  • Easy to mount
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • quick ranging
