Best red dot that I have used
This is the best red dot that I have had. It holds true at any distance. The choices of dot intensity is excellent. Don't know why they didn't put a simple on/off switch on it. you need to press both up and down instensity buttons at once and hold them to shut it down. But still the best red dot sight I have come across.
Great Value for a Quality Red Dot!
After recently purchasing a Browning Buck Mark pistol with a fiber-optic sight system, after my first trip to the range with it I realized two things: 1) that the Buck Mark is an extraordinary .22 semi-auto, and 2) that my aging eyes (I am 66) needed something more advanced for me to enjoy the potential of the pistol. I decided on the Ultradot L/T because of its good reviews, its light weight, and because it's made in Japan (I won't put anything made in China on my firearms). Bottom line: Everything about the sight exceeds expectations. Great quality, easy to use, and extremely precise. After spending about 20 minutes at the range sighting in the L/T on my pistol, I started scoring some of the best 5-shot group I've put together since my eyesight started heading south (the best of which was just a tad over 1/2" at 20 yards). Now this may not seem earth-shattering to you competitors out there, but for me--a senior citizen who shoots at most 6 times per year--it gave me a thrill that I honestly didn't believe I'd every experience again. If you're looking for a red dot, this is a no brainer. You can spend a lot more, and get a lot less.
Pros:
- Good value and clear optics
- Made in Japan
- Light weight and easy mount
- Great quaility
- Extremely precise adjustments
- great visiblity indoors or outdoors
Cons:
- None for me
Best Used for:
- Target shooting
- Plinking & fun
- Small game hunting and pest control

Ultra Dot L/T - Excellent
This is not a dot for a self-defense gun. It is a top choice for those who like to shoot accurately! It has a wider intensity selection than a typical defense dot, so it accomodates wildly different target lighting situations. The dot is very precise and accepting of those with astigmatic issues. Integral PicRail is a huge plus if you run a rail on your gun as it keeps this sight low. I have more than one and even use it on an olympic quality airpistol with excellent results. The quality of the materials and build is well worth the cost.
Pros:
- wide range of dot intensity selection and QUALITY
Cons:
- not for self defense pistols.
Best Used for:
- bullseye and precision shooting.

Difficult to sight in
This red dot is nice and light and has a bright and clear image. However the sight adjustments are 2 tiny screws, one of which is located at the rear of the base. This requires you to mount the red dot forward on the picatinny rail in order to sight it in with the very tiny right angle wrench provided. I prefer to have the sight located on the rear of the rail up against the rear sight on my pistol and this is not possible with this sight. Returning to O.P.

Great Red Dot
I’m really happy with the UltraDot LT so far. For starters, I like the integrated weaver/picatinny mount which keeps the optic low as possible to the barrel. I was struggling to decide what dot-size optic I should get. I feel the UD/LT’s 4MOA size offers good all round flexibility and will compliment a variety of shooting I plan to do with it. I found the controls to be fine. It’s not difficult to turn off (press & hold the ‘down’ button 3-4 sec). I like that there is no auto brightness. It has a good sized clear window with no observable +/- magnification. I’m really pleased with it, great value in my opinion.

Great Red Dot
The Ultradot L/T is identical to the C-More RTS2, except the picatinny mount is integral, not a add-on. I am sure they are made in the same factory by the same manufacturer. I have several and have been extremely pleased with them. They are less expensive than comparable dots.
Pros:
- Large Window
- Clear lens and dot
Cons:
- None

ULTRADOT L/T
Nice little red dot - Japan glass (check out 'Tokyo Optics' as they build red dots for bigger name companies), fair priced, mounts VERY low (weaver / pic style built into base), seems to be built sturdy, bright dot with no issues in the daylight. Mounted on a FN SLP ML1 TACT defense shotgun and works as intended w/ 4 MOA dot. Very quick target acquisition in a very light weight, non-obtrusive red dot. Pain in the a** to turn off but has auto off after 5 hours. Lots of options for $200-300 range... if you purchase this little red dot, you will likely enjoy it... Ultradot is a big name in the bullseye competitions but this red dot has universal applications.
Pros:
- Ease of use
- Size
- Weight
- Brightness
Cons:
- Turning off
Best Used for:
- Put the red dot on what you want the bullets to hit :)

I OWN SEVERAL ULTRA DOT RED DOT 1" SIGHTS. THEY'RE USED MOSTLY ON BULLSEYE GUNS. I GOT THE L/T TO PUT ON A PLINKER AND SO FAR I'M PLEASED WITH IT. NOT SURE HOW TOUGH IT IS BUT THE DOT IMAGE IS SHARP AND THE ELEVATION/WINDAGE ADJUSTMENTS ARE GOOD. IT'S NOT AN AIMPOINT BUT IT'S $250 VS $725.
Pros:
- Price
- Adjustments
- image clarity
- Mounts easily
Cons:
- TURNING IT OFF
Best Used for:
- plinking
- Bullseye
