Most Helpful Positive Review Best red dot that I have used
This is the best red dot that I have had. It holds true at any distance. The choices of dot intensity is excellent. Don't know why they didn't put a simple on/off switch on it. you need to press both up and down instensity buttons at once and hold them to shut it down. But still the best red dot sight I have come across.

Ultra Dot L/T - Excellent

by jrs, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on February 8, 2026
This is not a dot for a self-defense gun. It is a top choice for those who like to shoot accurately! It has a wider intensity selection than a typical defense dot, so it accomodates wildly different target lighting situations. The dot is very precise and accepting of those with astigmatic issues. Integral PicRail is a huge plus if you run a rail on your gun as it keeps this sight low. I have more than one and even use it on an olympic quality airpistol with excellent results. The quality of the materials and build is well worth the cost.
Pros:
  • wide range of dot intensity selection and QUALITY
Cons:
  • not for self defense pistols.
Best Used for:
  • bullseye and precision shooting.

Difficult to sight in

by Jamesh, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on August 7, 2024
This red dot is nice and light and has a bright and clear image. However the sight adjustments are 2 tiny screws, one of which is located at the rear of the base. This requires you to mount the red dot forward on the picatinny rail in order to sight it in with the very tiny right angle wrench provided. I prefer to have the sight located on the rear of the rail up against the rear sight on my pistol and this is not possible with this sight. Returning to O.P.

Great Red Dot

by RMAX, from WA, United States Written on April 16, 2024
I’m really happy with the UltraDot LT so far. For starters, I like the integrated weaver/picatinny mount which keeps the optic low as possible to the barrel. I was struggling to decide what dot-size optic I should get. I feel the UD/LT’s 4MOA size offers good all round flexibility and will compliment a variety of shooting I plan to do with it. I found the controls to be fine. It’s not difficult to turn off (press & hold the ‘down’ button 3-4 sec). I like that there is no auto brightness. It has a good sized clear window with no observable +/- magnification. I’m really pleased with it, great value in my opinion.

Great Red Dot

by Fred, Verified Owner from IA, United States Written on January 28, 2024
The Ultradot L/T is identical to the C-More RTS2, except the picatinny mount is integral, not a add-on. I am sure they are made in the same factory by the same manufacturer. I have several and have been extremely pleased with them. They are less expensive than comparable dots.
Pros:
  • Large Window
  • Clear lens and dot
Cons:
  • None

ULTRADOT L/T

by GBECK, from IA, United States Written on April 23, 2022
Nice little red dot - Japan glass (check out 'Tokyo Optics' as they build red dots for bigger name companies), fair priced, mounts VERY low (weaver / pic style built into base), seems to be built sturdy, bright dot with no issues in the daylight. Mounted on a FN SLP ML1 TACT defense shotgun and works as intended w/ 4 MOA dot. Very quick target acquisition in a very light weight, non-obtrusive red dot. Pain in the a** to turn off but has auto off after 5 hours. Lots of options for $200-300 range... if you purchase this little red dot, you will likely enjoy it... Ultradot is a big name in the bullseye competitions but this red dot has universal applications.
Pros:
  • Ease of use
  • Size
  • Weight
  • Brightness
Cons:
  • Turning off
Best Used for:
  • Put the red dot on what you want the bullets to hit :)

by Mike, Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on January 9, 2021
Went with Ultra Dot based on past experience and the fact it's the number Red Dot manufacturer used by Bullseye shooters. Clear crisp dot with ultra fast battery change. Non-obtrusive weaver mount with very low profile.
Pros:
  • Battery draw
Cons:
  • Turning it off even with small fingers.
Best Used for:
  • Any Red Dot need.

ULTRADOT RED DOT

by CRK, from FL, United States Written on August 16, 2017
I OWN SEVERAL ULTRA DOT RED DOT 1" SIGHTS. THEY'RE USED MOSTLY ON BULLSEYE GUNS. I GOT THE L/T TO PUT ON A PLINKER AND SO FAR I'M PLEASED WITH IT. NOT SURE HOW TOUGH IT IS BUT THE DOT IMAGE IS SHARP AND THE ELEVATION/WINDAGE ADJUSTMENTS ARE GOOD. IT'S NOT AN AIMPOINT BUT IT'S $250 VS $725.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Adjustments
  • image clarity
  • Mounts easily
Cons:
  • TURNING IT OFF
Best Used for:
  • plinking
  • Bullseye

Great Sight for Bullseye Pistol!

by vmaynard, from NC, United States Written on February 21, 2017
Purchased this and a Ultradot Matchdot II tube to decide between the two types of scopes. Really like the open sight view much better with significantly lower weight. Matchdot II + mounting rings = 7.25 oz. | L/T = 2 oz. Focus would wander with the Matchdot tube between the tube, dot and target. With the L/T focus easily stayed on the target with the reddot clearly superimposed on the target. Hitting the X no problem at 25 yards and able to do the same with more effort as expected at 50 yards. No improvement using the Matchdot. This sight was recommended by a Bullseye coach.
Pros:
  • low weight
  • Auto off
  • Precise 4 MOA dot
  • Easy to Remove and Install without Loosing Sighting
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Bullseye and target
  • action shooting
