Everything as advertised and seems to be good quality. I recommend this product only if you are sure you can mount it way back or have an extremely short length of pull. I sent it back rather than trying to mess around with an alternate mounting. The short scope means the eye piece is one to two inches farther from your eye.
Cons:
- Very short so the average eye relief can't make up the difference
- Scope rings are high (1.2 in) which means you need a cheek riser

The optical quality is quite good, and the reticle is very handy with fine but easily visible holdover stadia. The lockable & resetable turrets are well marked. The clicks are not real sharp, but have a decent tactile feel. The parallax knob turns with just the right resistance, and the range markings are very close to true yardage.
I was interested in the Optisan CP 3-12x32P, but at ⅓ the cost through Optics Planet, this Veyron 3-12x44 turned out to be a good choice.

Like most reviewers, I think the reticle is way too hard to pick up at low power. If the skeleton vertical and horizontal lines outside the mil section were solid it would be a huge improvement in low power visibility. I'm really tempted to buy another for another airgun or .22lr, but the reticle makes it a hard sell. Illumination would be nice but then it would probably cost another 30-40$. Side focus is good for airgun stuff, or close targets in general.

the reticle is what ruins this otherwise nice product. its VERY fine, so fine that that its almost impossible to see when up against grass/trees/bushes/dirt. the only time its ok is when punching paper. this made this scope useless for hunting.
turrets, worked nicely and smooth, and glass is nice and clear.

Nice, compact and light scope. Clarity is excellent and I wish it came in a 4-16X version. It is very light weight, but seems to hold zero pretty well, I miss the illumination, but I rarely am shooting in dark situartions. Perfect for a small er gun bullpup or larger pistol like a P16.

For a small scope, this one gives up nothing. Good optically with a nice eyebox and normal eye relief. The second focal plane version is what I got and recommend at the 3-12x size. I wish they had used their reticle with a center dot but this one is alright. No illumination but the price sure is right. And that is the thing. This scope is a great value with a close focus side parallax, good view and small size. A winner!
Pros:
- Price
- Size
- Close focus
- eye relief
