Most Helpful Positive Review Never seen anything like it before!
I love my LCP MAX and never thought I’d be able to find an optic for it—until now. I’m genuinely excited about this one. There are plenty of lasers and lights available, but if you’re looking specifically for an optic, this is the one to get. It mounts securely, looks great, and despite its compact ...

Most Helpful Negative Review fun range toy only
I was excited to try this out . I carry my max 380 daily, at the range not bad had to adjust it a bit but its there. I'm out late a lot and this is where this thing becomes completely useless. The dot is so faint you cant even see it. And in the dark its completly off. Cant adjust it to make it visi...

viridian rfx

an unbelievably small and compact site. The unit is rugged and well constructed and adds little bulk to the ruger lcp interfering with its consealbility. The dot itself is clear and concise and the price is most reasonable.

Once you remove the old sight, it was so easy to install. A smart fit for the bodyguard 2.0.

Ruger LCP addition

by Fox Mile, Verified Owner from MD, United States Written on June 21, 2026
Sight is small and very effective. Easily attached to the pistol. I would add that a sight pusher should be used to remove the OEM rear sight.

I’m Happy!

by Bob D., from TN, United States Written on June 10, 2026
I love this sight in very bright sunlight, it is also very bright unless you are in very dark area then it could be a little brighter. That’s why I gave it a 4 star rating. It improved the accuracy to the point I can shoot 3-4” groups at 25 yards. A have Armalaser on it so I don’t worry about not seeing it easily in the darkness. But the rest of the time it is a game changer.
Pros:
  • Great in bright sun or any light.
Cons:
  • Not so great in total darkness.
Best Used for:
  • concealed carry

Compact Problem Solver

by Srbot-R-, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on June 3, 2026
I rarely write reviews, but this optic warrants one. I almost gave up on my Ruger LCP max after the shooting low issue. Tried different iron sights and still had the same issue. After installing this optic and zeroing it in, I confident carrying my pistol again. Great product that solves a problem!

Load Inicator issue

by pmrtech, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on May 20, 2026
Before purchase warning. If you LCP Max comes with the load indicator you will need to modify it to make this optic work as the optic sits 1/4 inch past the pivot point of the indicator. Ruger does sell indicators for $4 each plus tax so buy two. I ground down the indicator to make the optic work while a cartridge was in battery. Hopefully Viridian comes up with a change as it is the optics battery that sits under causing the indicator not to let the round come into battery. #2 - the optic is great up til the point where the up/down range is basically bottomed out in order to center the sight to best range in at 21ft. #3 - keep spare batteries. If you carry, the optic is going to stay on all the time. It has a 2minute idle shutoff. If you move in any direction(like constant on the go) battery life will diminish substancially. Then youre replacing batteries more than you think. There is a torq spec for the screws recommended. 15in pounds. Does not seem tight enough IMO.

spot on sight

by Greenmachine1, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on April 3, 2026
This sight works great for distance. It really makes up for the LCP MAX short sight radius. Money well spent.

Impossible to find the dot.

by Pete, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on February 22, 2026
At 77 I find it difficult to find the front and rear sight and the target as my eyes are incapable of focusing on all three at once. I thought the answer to this might be the Viridian red dot. It wasn't. As it turns out the LCP Max is so small that it is completely hidden behind my larege hands and therefore provides no information as to the orientation of the pistol. Put that together with the small size of the optic and it becomes impossible to consistently bring the dot into the window. Not being fussy here, i mean not even close. Going back to iron sights.
Pros:
  • Nicely made and high quality.
Cons:
  • Impossible to use
Best Used for:
  • making your buddies think you're cool
