Right out of the box the battery was overheating as soon as it was put in. The solar worked great but the battery option never did and when I put a battery in it got so hot I thought it was going to explode. The flippy lens covers were cool but the front latch was a little sticky and didn't want to latch back unless you push the button forward. I sent it back and I'm waiting on a refund right now.

I admit, I was skeptical. Research said it was what I was looking for, but some of the reviews made me wonder. Without question, though, it is perfect for my Stribog and required very little adjustment for zero. Solar and automatic adjustment function is excellent, and though the battery function is a bit bright even on the lowest setting, it certainly does exactly what it is supposed to. For those looking in the FAQ section, I have a minor astigmatism but it does not affect using this optic effectively. It also lines up with a replica EoTech 3X FTS magnifier.

Just hold down the up button and your good to go. The solar aspect works flawlessly. I havent had any issues at all with mine and plan on using it for a long time. Would 100% suggest to anyone looking for a solid red dot.

Nice product. Like the solar feature. And the rapid deploy caps are great. Now just need to run a bunch of rounds through it to make sure it holds zero. Shipping was fast. Will order again from them.i recommended this product.

So the craftsmanship of this product is pretty cool. That said i’ve ordered one, received a non functioning one because the power button was mashed in on receipt, which I get it, online purchase, these things happen. Product received from the exchange I selected instead of a refund had the exact same problem. Except this time I can’t return it because my account says its already been returned. So if you want to try this product out and roll the dice make sure you get a refund and just order again if your first one is damaged. If anyone from opticsplanet reads this can you give me a shout and tell me how I could possibly try and return this one. That would be most helpful.

I purchased this item June 16th.based on a review on 704 Tacticals YouTube channel. I received it on June 24. On the 26th.I noticed that the red light indicating that the sight was on was loose from the housing and recessed off to the side.I contacted NCstars warranty department per the instructions and direction of the included product information and a representative. I packed the item along with a 10 dollar money order for return shipping.I mailed it on June 30th.As of now October 10th., I have not recieved a replacement.I called several times in between a week or two of waiting and each time was given an excuse ranging from production /distribution and shipping issues to Covid 19.Please don't make the mistake I made! I have purchased three other sights for a fraction of the cost with better quality and customer support.I may never know how this item performs because I am still waiting.But based on the experience so far,it is simply not worth it at all.

For the price I think you can get something nicer. The lense cap stopped working and the release clip broke sent it in for the warranty and they mailed me another one very quickly process took about 2 weeks. It holds zero on my 9mm Stribog 500 rounds later.
