I ordered this item with high hopes. Once in hand, I found it did not come with instructions, and found it even more shocking that I would need any. flip cap kill flash cover
fits perfect, must have to keep the glare down. one extra step to keep the coyotes from spotting you. Keeps your location concealed from the predators. Seems like a little thing, but every little bit helps.

Cheap, not worth the extra money
Cheap flash kill, doesn't secure very well. Not very durable like I was expecting. The flash kill I'm sure works just fine, but it has soft neoprene borders to put it on the scope. It doesn't thread on the scope. So it's not really secure or solid, nothing like the flip up dust covers on the Strikefire II. That's more along the lines of what I was expecting.

Not what I was expecting
$50 for this piece of plastic seems steep, and it is. When I purchased it, I was expecting a well engineered piece that would work seamlessly with my Vortex rifle scopes. What I got was an overpriced piece of plastic and rubber that only marginally met my expectations. The ARD falls off when I open the flip cap and the colors become distorted when using the ARD. white becomes egg shell, and tan becomes more brown. Doesn't sound like much of an issue, but when taking longer shots it comes into play when trying to identify targets that blend into their surroundings. Also, installation was not seamless and took a little bit of playing with.

Kill Flash
Getting the snap cover open without the filter moving or falling down and coming out of alignment.

Questionable
Perhaps it is my false expectation that causes my poor review of this product. With that said, the PST comes with protective covers and that is a good thing. The rub comes if you install the KillFlash, you can't use them (OD problem). I get the logic but the practicality escapes me. In and of itself the KF is great. Its simple to mount and does not blur or otherwise interfere with the optics.
