This monocular is rugged, with very clear, bright optics for a 25 mm objective lens. It feels like a quality instrument, and is: fully multi-coated optics, waterproof, BAK-4 prism. The image is surprisingly stable for a 10 power monocular, and the focus is easy to adjust the focus. The twist up semi-rubber eye cup is so much better than the older kind of eye cup. Comes with a good neck lanyard; however, the pouch is only so-so, as it is open on the sides. The 2.5 mm pupil diameter is a bit small, in my opinion: I have to hold the monocular very steady against my eye, else the field start...

Used this monocular at a 100yd range and could see with a clear view. Would recommend for spotting if you’re on a budget.

Vortex Solo 10x25

Very small and compact. At first, when i opened the package i was disappointed to see how small it was. I thought there was no way that i would be able to see out to any significant distance. I must admit, i was wrong. I have another monocular, i forget the power and brand, but its stronger than a 10x and i can see the same distance with the Vortex. The clarity is amazing. The compact size is a big plus.

handy monocular

I ordered this monocular for its small size which makes it convenient to keep on hand. I use it on the golf course and at the pistol range. The optics are clear and bright though the 10x magnification makes holding steady a little tricky.
Overall it is a good choice for a viewer that can be kept close for use when binoculars aren’t handy.

Great Starter Mono

I gave this 5 stars keeping in mind the price point and scale of what's out there. I got this on sale for around $65 and for a small monocular that's easy to carry with you and not get fatigued by it does a great job. If you want this to accomplish the job of a spotting scope, you gotta pay more, simple as that. For just viewing and gathering some information it's amazing, but the field of view is is where the price point becomes apparent.

Great Mococular

Smaller than binoculars for the occasional need to get a closer look at something. I originally ordered the 10x25 but it was difficult to steady for a clear look. No tripod mount on the scope. I decided to get the 8x36 to let in more light and be able to keep it steady. If you want a true pants pocket size, get the 8x25 or 10x25 size.
