So far there isn't anything this little sight can't handle.
I got the 3MOA when it first came out to use as a 45 degree mount sight on my AR, but it ended up spending some time as the primary optic on my 9mm AR pistol.
So when the 6MOA came out, I grabbed one to mount on a pistol.
Same mounting pattern as the FastFires so finding mounts isn't an issue but I really like the QD mount that Vortex sells (made by Samson).
I should just buy a couple of these because I end up moving them around to different guns every couple of months.
They are easy to zero and hold it so far regardless of what I mount them on. Typical of Vortex, you open the box and everything you need is right there in it.
Definitely use the tool in the box to open/change the battery, it will save you a lot of headaches and scratches.
Clean dot, crisp picture, and overall a fairly low profile optic body.
Beats out all competitors at this price point.
Only thing I wish they would improve is to "borrow" the flip up battery cap from the Delta Point but not sure that little bit of convenience is worth however much of a price jump.
I recommend this optic to anyone...AR, .22 pistol, centerfire handgun, you name it.
Besides being a quality optic, it has Vortex standing behind it which really is an unbeatable value.
Nicest people you could hope to meet in this industry and they aren't afraid to show it.
I purchase this for my FNH PS90. This product is a great especially for the price. I was able to BZO my PS90 with no issue. Upon receiving this item, I had accidentally stripped the mounting base when I was tightening the screw, I sent an email to Vortex CS and the got me a replacement in 2 days....

The Vortex Venom red dot sight arrived well packed and labeled with great instructions, tools, cleaning cloth, cover and a decent rail mount. After some difficulty installing the battery (threads on battery cover very fine)I turned the unit on and to my surprise the red dot is horrible; not round an...

The first time I live fire tested my brand new Vortex Venom, I found that the elevation adjustment was non-functional. So why would I rate it 5 stars? Because when I returned home from the range and called Vortex, their Customer Service put me through to Technical Support to make sure I wasn't missing something who then returned me to Customer Service to get my information to overnight ship a replacement unit. No waiting on hold, no questions, no BS...they immediately shipped a new unit that I received the next morning. The shipment included a return label for the defective optic to be returned at my convenience. The new optic has functioned perfectly through several 100 rounds, is very accurate, and has not needed any readjustments. I use the Venom on a 10/22 based rifle using all aftermarket ultra lightweight parts...4 lbs overall with a 16" barrel. So the lightweight Venom is a very compatible optic for my compact, lightweight rifle. Unlike some of the other Vortex red dots, the Venom has a top loading battery so it can remain mounted for battery changes and it doesn't have the annoying locking screws for windage and elevation adjustments. The Venom has a very low profile as well as the Picatinny adapter which works very well on my rifle. The unit comes with a two ended screw driver: the large end for replacing the battery cover or twisting the Pic rail bolt, and the small end for making sighting adjustments. It may seem like a small thing, but the adjustment s...

This Vortex red dot is the perfect size for AR15 with a Picatinny scope rind mount !
I transition from scope up to red dot and back to scope effortlessly !
This red dot doesn't block any in my frame of view. It's like it's not even there till I see the red dot !

The Vortex Venom is an excellent choice if you’re shopping for a red dot sight. It mounted easily on my clock, model 45, 9mm handgun using the included #1 adapter plate. It was easy to zero in. And I was thrilled with how much my accuracy improved using the red dot. It’s at an excellent price point compared to other red dot sights. I thought that it was a great value. I would buy again.

I wanted a red dot that was both affordable and reliable for an offset mount. The Vortex came highly recommended and I see why. Clear view, solid mount and holds zero.
