Great Upgrade To My 19 Year Old Wiley X's!
I still have the same Wiley X SG-1 ballistic sunglasses that I was issued in late 2003 when preparing to deploy to Iraq. I continued to use them in the field for the remaining 12 years I was in the Army and then began to use them for yard work. After nearly 19 years, they were in desperate need for an upgrade. The foam around the lens had begun to break off and the rubber pads on the bottom of the temples had come off.
I ordered a replacement pair of Smoke Colored lenses and new temples. The temples snapped on easily and look great. The are comfortable on my ears. The lenses snapped in place and look just like the originals. Very happy with this purchase!

Great lens
The lenses overall are very good. The only issue I have with them are that they fog up if not moving enough to get airflow.

Wiley X SG-1 Goggles Extra Lenses - Clear V-Cut (WX-SA-LENS-70C)
WileyX goggles may be virtually bombproof, but the lenses do get scratched with normal industrial use. I work on an oil rig and my work area ranges from outdoors to enclosed spaces below decks. Lens fogging became an issue for me while working, so I modified my original lenses by cutting out some of the foam padding in contact with my face to increase the air flow over the lens. Last month, I needed to get some spare lenses for my WileyX SG-1 goggles. I found the SG-1 V-Cut Clear replacement lenses (WX-SA-LENS-70C) on OpticsPlanet.com. These were exactly what I needed. The V-Cut design has larger ventilation slots and this has gone a long way in reducing fogging of my goggle lenses while I work. The goggle insides maintain their good looks, with no "customization" required. An excellent prduct!
