The RIGHT tool for the job
I own a Colt Competition 1911. The stock bushing was not as tight as it could be. I replaced it with a custom bushing. But, this new bushing was too tight to rotate by hand (a good thing). Wilson Combat Bushing Wrench to the rescue! It provided enough leverage to smoothly rotate the new bushing. And, it made of some sort hard, but not brittle polymer, that is much less likely my gun than any metal wrench.
Pros:
- light weight
- solid
- Leverage
- Does not scratch the gun
Cons:
- Checkered nose plug scratches the wrench
Best Used for:
- 1911 bushing

1911 bushing wrench
As a new 1911 owner I found the bushing can be very tight. I bought this to use on a rock island 1911. Its plastic but seems very strong. Works very well for removing the bushing. Being plastic it dosent mark up your gun. It makes containing the spring easier also.
Pros:
- Works great and does what its supposed to
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- 1911 bushing

Wilson Combat Bushing Wrench
This thing is the way to go! Non-marring, non-scratching. I got a brand new 1911 with a VERY tight bushing. This wrench made removal much easier. At the OP price, I bought several to put in my tool box and my range bag.

light, simple and effective.
The wrench does its job with no frills, and no BS. The wrench, while light, is solid enough to really (forgive the pun), wrench on bushings and while there is some flex, its never gonna break on you. I would recommend this wrench.
