Modified my old Marlin 336 .30-30 and the fitting was perfect! Mounted my Vortex Scout optics and it hits where I was expecting. Great product. Awesome service! Competitive prices, and the quality of merchandise is great!

This isn't just for the 336, it works and fits amazingly on the 1894 also.

it is very easy to install.

It comes with two different Peep sights, one Day time and one Night time.

To switch these out, there are two screws one on the side of the rear peep adapter, loosen those two screws and you will be able to spin the peep sight out and spin the new one in.

I see a lot of reviews about this not lining up right, but if you have one of the newer marlin model 336 (remlin) this is going to fit awesome mine has the barrel band and every hole lined up perfectly.
It looks incredible on the rifle

I underestimated how much this would change my Marlin for the better. Feels like a completely different rifle. So handy and it looks great. Brings some new life back into a classic. Easy to mount and comes with thread lock. I even contacted customer service with a question and the folks there were very friendly.

This was very easy to install on my 336 and took less than 30 minutes. The ghost ring sights along with the white front post is a big help for the older shooters. I found it harder and harder to find the original front sight at dusk. I like having the option to but an extended eye relief scope on it.

Great Product. Fit and finish is great. Installation is straight forward. I have this rail on two 1895 Marlins (45-70), one with a scout scope setup (leupold vx-2 1.5-4) and one just open sights. Some of my higher velocity hand loads with 250 grain and 300 grain bullets are out of the elevation adjustment range of the front sight post (when using open sights). XS will trade you out front sight posts for the one you need if you are running higher velocity hand loads. This is a non issue most likely if you use factory loaded rounds including Hornady lever evolution. Sight picture with the iron sights is excellent. Quick target acquisition. Was able to produce a 1” group at 100 yards with the iron sights on sand bags. As for the scoped rifle, I bedded the rail with epoxy to ensure a solid mount. I like having the scout scope setup, it looks good and target acquisition is quicker it seems. Great product.

With this sight system I can see my sights and have a longer sight radius. I intend on installing a MRO with ADM low mount. May consider a scout scope at a later date. XS sells a tall treaded aperture post that will accept Williams apertures. XS also sells a .150" I.D. aperture if the included ones a too big.

This kit looks great on the Marlin 336BL. Would have give 5 stars however there were some really small paint chips on the mount which stood out when against the blued gun metal. Great product overall, just need to get a scope mounted on it!

No question about it this is the best accessory I’ve ever bought for a gun. There’s a reason peep sights have been around for a hundred years, these take the same principle and use them for ridiculously fast targetIng.

This is a good system for mounting optics on lever action rifles this is the second one I have bought and installed the first one on my 1894 and this one on my 1895. Instaois straight forward and not hard for anyone with basic gunsmithing skills and the simple tools required for the install.like I stated in my review of the one on my 1894 it would be five stars if the front sight had a tritium insert.
