Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent upgrade sight for Taurus 856/605/942
I've now upgraded my Taurus 605 and Taurus 942 with this same sight. It is excellent and perfect for a defense sight where you desire fast acquisition. I wouldn't call it a precision sight, but you can quickly shoot 2-4" groups all day in the 5-10 yard range and still usable further. Also very easy to install. It's worth noting my 605 is stainless, silver, and the 942 I chose black. This sight works slightly better with the black fixed rear sight. It's just the contrast works a little better. I instantly shot better with both guns after installation.

Great Alternative to the Original

These Xs front sight have been installed on my three Taurus revolvers. It only takes about five minutes to drift the pin out, wipe out the sight groove,place a small amount of loctite( if you prefer), and drift the pin back in, you’re done. They come in three flavors, orange,green, or yellow. I’m thoroughly satisfied with this purchase.

You can’t go wrong with Xs sights

This makes my third purchase of these sights for my various Taurus revolvers. They are of the pinned variety and take less than 10 minutes to replace and install. They sure make for a better sight picture than the original that comes pre installed. Xs make some of the best sights on the market today. I’m very happy with these sights.

taurus xs front sight for 856

The sight was of good quality but I was unable to attain the green version. The sight was easy to install but the orange version was not bright or that easy to pick up.

XS Big Orange Dot for Taurus 856

It is a great improvement over the stock black blade. It is really a point and shoot sight. Just put the big dot on the target. It isn't a bullseye sight as it covers a lot of the target at moe than a few yards. But hey, I it on a 2" snubby. I suppose the only negative is they should send a new roll pin with the sight, since you are going to mangle it up when removing. I had to order a new roll pin before I could install it. Overall, I still highly recommend it.
