Works Like A Champ
I personally like the clamp on style of gas block better. I feel it has a better lock up on the barrel, and particularly a better seal on the barrel (which is important in a gas operated system). There are other clamp on style gas blocks out there that are easily twice the price of Yankee Hill's, bu...

Not so great anymore..
This gas block is no longer like the picture. It has changed to the usual run of the mill "pinch at the bottom" type block. THAT SUCKS! I even went to YHM website and checked it out. Yeah it's still YHM, and its nice quality, but the clamp style feature is what I liked about it the most. It was a gr...

no worry gas block
Bought them for all my AR’s. Don’t have to worry about dimples or set screws easy to readjust, great gas block.

Won't Fit Aero/Ballistic Advantage/Stag Arms AR15 Handguards.
And it probabaly won't fit most handguards on the market. Unless it's a quad rail type or fat tubular carbon fiber handguard. Like another customer said the bottom half is too big. Gonna sell this and buy a VLTOR or Daniel Defense low profile clamp-on gas block.
Pros:
- Cheap.
Cons:
- Won't fit.
Best Used for:
- Wedding ring.

easy to install and remove
Unless one wants to pin or indent the bottom of a barrel, this is the way to go. I have this product on 2 guns.
A little instalation tip I learned. Get a piece of spaghetti and stick it in the gas hole on the barrel. Break it off so it doesn't stick out above the top of the gas hole. Slide the gas block over the barrel until it can't go any further. Tighten the screws on the gas block, but make sure it can turn back and forth. Flip the barrel over. Turn the gas block or barrel back and forth until the piece of spaghetti falls into the gas hole on the block. Leaving the barrel upside down, turn the gas block gently back and forth slowly until it stops both ways. Center it in the middle and tighten the screws. This Is important so the spaghetti will fall out and the gas block is centered over the hole. After tightening block turn barrel over and use a cleaning rod to break the spaghetti off. Both pieces will fall out. There ore several different sizes of spaghetti.

- nothing I have seen yet

Works well
Works well. Mounts easy with no problems. I am not sure it will fit under some handguns but it works well for me. I am replacing a typr F sight/gas block so it is exposed. It is not intrusive looking, but isn't cool looking neither, if that matters to anyone.
Pros:
- Solid, feels well built
Cons:
- none for me
Best Used for:
- Pinned block/sight replacement

Easy installation
This gas block was easy to install and machines to tight tolerances. Once installed it doesn’t move. The finish matched my S&W Sport II and the gas block allows you to install rifle length free float handguards on a carbine. Highly recommend.

Low profile gas block
This is not a low profile gas block. it will not clear your free float hand rail, the bottom of the block is too big and uses way to big of screws to secure it. I tried to use it with my UTG super slim hand rail and ended up having to alter it just to get it to not push my hand rail down away from the barrel. Upon further investigation I had to remove it completetly and buy a different brand.

Great product doesn't fit in all applications.
The fit and finish of this gas block is excellent. Unfortunately it seems it is not compatible with the slimmer profile hand guards/rails. In my case that's the Geissele SMR MK13. Looks like it fits. Especially when compared to the Geissele Super Gas Black that came with the rail, but as someone else put it; she's a fat bottom girl.
Pros:
- reliable
- solid
- easy to install
- No modification to barrel required
Cons:
- COMPATABILITY
Best Used for:
- ar builders

YHM clamp on gas block
This is a great gas block for the money. It is simple to install, and it fits very well under a super slim hand guard. I've got about a hundred rounds down range and have no issues with it. I like this product because I did not have to dimple my barrel, and it fits nice and tight on my factory barrel.
Pros:
- Easy to install, solid product, fits under super slim hand guards
Cons:
- Non adjustable.
Best Used for:
- Any AR rifle with free floating handguards
Would recommend: Yes
