Grandaddy Gunner
Buy the red laser instead of the green. I bought the green thinking it would be brighter outside. I could not even see the light on the target so replaced the batteries. Still could not see the laser so replaced the green Sightmark with the red. The red is very bright outdoors and also costs less t...

Close, but....
Be advised that, on the one I got, there is no cone shaped barrel guide as pictured on the end of this device. It is a flat magnet. This means that this device will get you close, but not dead on. If you have multiple calibers and are looking for a single option with no arbors for bore sighting, t...

Doesn't attach to all guns
This isn't as universal as people would think. Doesn't attach to all guns or will not stay attached to all guns.

Don't waste your time or money
This bore sight is way off, not even close to zero. I started bore sighting my rifle and could not see the dot on a three foot target at 30 yards. I thought perhaps it was too bright outside so I moved the target to 10 yards and could see it on paper. The cross hairs in my scope were about a foot away from the red laser dot. I thought that was crazy... no way my scope could be off that much. I decided to rotate the laser while attached to the barrel to see if it stayed centered. Instead of remaining centered, the red dot started making an ark while rotating and completed a 12 inch circle on my 10 yard target. I would send it back however I mistakenly threw away the packaging and Optics Planet will not allow returns without the original package. I think this one is probably defective- likely a quality control issue.

Bright laser, difficult to align
There are multiple versions of this particular bore sighter available and I didn't understand the subtle difference between them when ordering. However, after receiving and using this product, I've come to the realization that there is a considerable weakness with the SKU I purchased. The version I bought does not have a centering arbor. The magnet had etched concentric rings to help with alignment but no proteuding arbor to make it easy. This wasn't too big of an issue with my rifles, but getting the alignment on a pistol was much more difficult. My advice is to purchase carefully to not waste shipping and time on a device that may not meet your expectations.
Pros:
- bright and compact
Cons:
- Difficult to align properly
Best Used for:
- Rifles

Great Product
Retired 74 Y/O law enforcement officer. Been hunting, fishing, shooting, camping in Colorado my whole life. LOTS of shooting. Prefer old military guns and open sights. But even original sights can be off. And use scopes for big game for clean, one-shot kills. Have tried a lot of bore sighters. This is my second SightMark. Their products are the best and most accurate. Not sure why they call this a Triple Duty, but it is bright and easy to use. Got rid of all my other bore sighters and use this one exclusively. From 22 to 5.56 to 458 Win Mag. This has always got me very close to the "X" on the target with the first shot.

Brite lite
Works good, green laser is really brite. Magnet could be stronger if the retractable tip was a magnet. Be careful when using on cerekoted objects, a bump it my fall off. Is good & versatile overall.

lader bore sighter
When is bright light outside you can't see this thing passed about 20 yards also it is hard to center up in the end of your rifle other than that it looks like a quality made product but it just didn't bright enough and the sunlight

Too heavy to stick on ALL rifles/pistols (won't stick to 22LR stainless barrel)...
Went back and forth with Sightmark. Sightmark advertises the product as working with all rifles/pistols. My 22LR has a stainless barrel. Other magnets stick just fine, but the magnets they use in this one are very weak and therefore will not work on ALL rifles/pistols as advertised. Sightmark support is terrible and I wasn't even sure at first I was talking to a person in the USA. They tried to explain to me how my gun is designed assuming I didn't know my faux suppressor had to be removed. After wasting my time with that response, I explained how the product falls off when the faux suppressor isn't installed. They then tried to explain that my barrel is non-ferrous stainless steel (pretty sure that doesn't exist, all steel contains iron to some degree). Regardless, I sent them a photo of neodymium magnets sticking with no issues even though they said those types of magnets don't work on stainless steel. There are other issues with this product. The arbor that sits in the barrel sits differently depending on the crown or rifling it makes contact with, producing a 2" MOA depending on how the boresight is rotated, so there is no way to know where the product should sit properly for a good sight.
Pros:
- Bright Green Laser
Cons:
- cheap magnet
- arbor doesn't always sit centered with bore
