Will this work with the hs-407k X2 series Expert Answer

The Ruger 57 Optic Base Adapter Plate is designed to fit optics that utilize the J-Point/Shield RMS mounting footprint. The Holosun 407K/507K both use a modification to the Shield footprint and can be compatible if you are willing to do some modification. The two rear indexing lugs on the plate would need to be removed, and the front two lugs would need to be shortened. Once you have done that, you can fit a 407K/507K to this plate.

No, unfortunately not. This plate will fit optics with the Shield footprint.

Clearly says in the description that it’s intended use is for the vortex venom/viper. My venom will not fit this plate. Ordered another to see if it was a machining issue or just incorrect information.

Ruger57 adapter plate needs modified but it is almost the only option available.I am a first time customer and was really impressed with customer service.I need to mount a Holosun 507k green dot you may not need to modify other red dot companies.

Product Info for Ruger 57 Optic Base Adapter Plate

This Optic Adapter Plate supports the use of JPoint MRD, Shield RMS and Sig Sauer ROMEOZero red dot sights on the Ruger-5.7 pistol. The plate is precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with a matte black hardcoat finish for strength and durability. Simply place the adapter plate onto slide and secure it using the two #6-32 screws provided. Tighten the screws firmly (30-50 in-lbs.) using a Torx T-15 wrench (not included). Install the optic onto the Adapter Plate by following the sight manufacturer's mounting specifications (sight not included). The Adapter Plate is 1.700in long x .975in wide and weighs .2 ounces.image
