The Kiku 4 inch Knife has SOG's Bi-Directional coated blade that comes with a satin finish. The Kiku is a Japanese name that means hope or "change" in Japanese. It is a wish fulfilled. The SOG Kiku Knife represents "Change" in the Japanese culture. A "Change" in the Japanese sense means to be the best or to do the impossible. It is necessary to be able to change one's name or surname (e.g. from "Musketeer"). One of the things that SOG Specialty Knives & Tools has achieved in creating a knife that is versatile is to have an idea of who the knife was intended for, or what the use for the knife was. It is having an idea of who you are and what you want, so you can communicate with your sensei easily. At SOG, we listen. We've changed the names of our SOG Classic Fixed Blade series to SOG Satin. It features a green SOG Micarta handle slabs with black SOG stamps on them. The SOG Kiku 4 Inch Fixed Knife is supplied with a biohazard warning system and a Kydex neck sheath with a SOG stamp. It is important to know that ALL SOG products, including the SOG Kiku series, are produced under license.
