You do not need to change anything. This bolt carrier group should drop into a 6.5 Creedmoor upper and function.

this says it is 6.5 creedmoor compatible, does the ejector that comes with it fit a 6.5 or do I need to get a new 6.5 ejector to make it work. Expert Answer

The bolt carrier group and small parts are technically meant for a .308, but Fail Zero does mention, "Note: DPMS Pattern and 6.5 Creedmoor compatible". So the major components are compatible, but overall this is meant to function shooting .308.
