Most Helpful Positive Review Great DPMS ar10 bolt carrier group
Had this bcg for over a year and it's been great. The bolt head spaced perfect on a budget 308 upper/ barrel and just upgraded the barrel to a Faxon barrel and still head spaced great. The rear contacts the buffer as it should yet many others don't. And to top it off the coating fail zero uses is so...

Most Helpful Negative Review More like FAIL100
Put this in an Aero M5 build a few months ago. With the lockdown, I was just able to get it out to the range July 6. The Aero was all Aero, except for this bolt, paired with a Strike Industries charging handle. I had nothing but issues. Literally every round was jamming up. Brought it home, and...

I bought a.308 Fail Zero BCG a couple years ago. Only shot maybe 50 rounds through it, not sure what happened but the ejector got stuck and damaged. With out question they exchanged it. I own a couple of these and will purchase again if I ever need another one. Great customer service and product. I have had no problems with my 556 bolt from Fail Zero. Thanks you have a happy and loyal customer.

Came Without Logo on BCG Face

by boombop, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on November 4, 2024
Haven’t tested yet. Fits into aero M5e1 308 upper with no issue, just questioning the lack of the FZ logo on the right face, haven’t read anything online about a missing logo but i thought it was strange it doesn’t have it

Perfect in everyway

by T-Mac, from SC, United States Written on January 18, 2024
I have been building Ar's for sometime, mainly Ar-15 and was looking to start my Ar-10 I have always wanted. Well I needed a perfect BCG (bolt carrier group) and I found it. This bad boy here will take all you can give it with out hesitation. The more you give the better it gets. The name is dead on "FailZero" no others words really to describe it. Perfect lines, expert machining and easy to take apart and clean. As we all know that's the fun part, but this makes it easy to know all residue is removed and ready to punish anything you throw at it. if you want the best, this is it.
Pros:
  • Easy access to battery
  • clean actions
  • Machine Quality
  • easy to install, exactly as advertised,
Cons:
  • None for me

Bought this for a "budget" 308 build haha, endeyup spending way more than i expected. Bolt runs great with both my criterion barrels, head space was almost perfect on both. No issue and it looks great as well. Never used this brand before and it has impressed me.

Under Rated

by Kit, from CT, United States Written on December 31, 2022
I've put well over 1000 rds through this bcg. The 10 is a maintenance-after-every-use platform. The only issues I encountered where a bent retaining pin due to build up in the breach. Some sub-par, low cost, alternative, steel cased and likely manufactured in you-know where under you know whos administration, ammo and excess residue made for a sticky extraction thus bending the retaining pin. I made the exchange from cotter pin to machined pins and even bent a few of those! that and as to be expected crack forming on the extraction claw after the first 500 or so rounds. These rifles are no-doubt precision and a muzzle brake for the sake of your optics will reduce additional stress. 1500+ rds and nothing other than the afore mentioned.
Pros:
  • Price
  • reliable
Cons:
  • price
  • maintenance
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Great BCG at a good price!

by Dave, from OH, United States Written on September 12, 2022
After careful consideration, I chose this BCG because of the company's commitment to quality. I ALWAYS purchase Made In USA whenever possible for all obvious reasons. The Nickle Boron coating is PERFECT! I could not be happier with my purchase.
Pros:
  • Parent company invented this coating!
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Whenever you want it to perform

NOT 6.5 CREEDMOOR COMPATIBLE

by Jake, Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on May 17, 2020
First off, love Fail Zero BCGs. I will continue to purchase Fail Zero prducts for 556 or 300 systems, but I will never purchase another Fail Zero for a 6.5 Creedmoor. The 6.5 is such a high pressure round, that standard 308 BCGs are unable to contain the pressure and the firing pins are too long. On my second round, the firing pin pushed through the primer, which blew the primer into the BCG, completely destroying the firing pin. The bolt assembly locked into the star receiver of the barrel. After about a dozen kickstarts, I was able to dislodge the bolt. I have since removed the bolt assembly and replaced it with a JP Enterprises high pressure bolt assembly, which costs as much as the Fail Zero BCG. I was lucky that it did not damage my carbon fiber barrel, but that's not always the case. Beware if you're running a 6.5, especially with a match barrel.
