Product Info for Geissele Big Bertha Super Precision Series Scope Mount
Geissele's Big Bertha Super Precision mount is specifically designed for use with large caliber Rifles, .300 Winchester Magnum and above. The Big Bertha's mounting surface spans 16 picatinny sections and utilizes 7 precisely machined shear lugs to keep the mount in place under heavy Magnum caliber recoil. These mounts use Geissele's updated classic nut and bolt method, which is the most secure method of attaching your scope to your weapon. Each nut and bolt combination provides 1,400 pounds of clamping force for a total mount clamping force of 4,200 pounds! The Big Bertha is machined completely from a single piece of billet aluminum and is available in 7075-T6 high strength aluminum and also Alcoa's 2099 Advanced Aluminum Lithium Alloy. Machining from a single piece of billet aluminum allows us to add pockets and ribs throughout the mount for added strength and rigidity. It also allows us to line bore the caps to each another and then serialize the caps to the body. The line bore operation creates the best possible fit to the body of your scope so that you can apply proper torque without fear of crushing or damaging the body of your scope. The Big Bertha will also be available in zero and 20 MOA cant options, and will also be available in either black type 3 hard coat anodize or our proprietary DDC (Desert Dirt Color) type 3 hardcoat anodize.
