Yes, the stabilizer strap and shoulder pad are not included with the MOD bag. You can use any standard shoulder strap or use one of Hazard 4's options like the following:

The Hazard4 Messenger of Doom M.O.D. Go-bag features a flap that compresses bulk with over-sized lock-buckle-straps and has a large loop-fastener area. The Hazard4 Messenger of Doom Laptop Bag includes a luggage-handle Velcro/webbing mount on the back for convenient airport travel and a direct access flap zipper. With the Hazard4 M.O.D.
