Will this work with a giessele super 42 spring? They claim you have to strictly use their buffer because the spring is smaller inside diameter — 2 Answers

You can use the Strike Industries AR Optimus Weight Recoil Buffer but, Geissele does say a standard buffer can cause damage to the rifle or receiver. However, this is not a standard buffer and you can increase or decrease weight at will.

I couldn’t get that to work. Geiselle buffer is slightly small OD and milspec buffer weight will not seat inside Super 42 spring. So, put another way, the internal diameter of my two S42 twisted springs are too small so I have to use Geiselle’s buffer weights with them. You may be able to workaround but it will be a workaround ime.
