The majority of this wrench is made of a hard polymer. Perhaps there is a thin steel rod running through the wrench handle, and into the hook portion which goes into the mag well. I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON FIREARMS FOR OVER 50 YEARS A RECENT INJURY WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO COMPRESS THE DELTA RING BY HAND.AS I AM ALWAYS WORRIED ABOUT MARRING OR DAMAGING THE FINISH I READ THE REVIEWS AND CHOSE THE AIM SPORTS DELTA RING TOOL IT DID NOT DISSAPOINT NO MARRING AND EFFORTLESS. HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS TOOL IN YOUR BOX.

Best Delta Ring Tool on the Market.....

This is by far best one on the market. Will not mar the delta rings finish as others will do. Very well constructed like no other and will last a very long time. Made it so much easier to install Magpul handguard.

Wrench if you must

I've heard that it's tough getting new forwards passed the delta ring but as it turned out, I didn't need this tool. It worked well and is tough enough for the casual selfhelp person. Test your rifles Delta Ring first before ordering this tool. If it's not too tight, you can pass. If it's really tight, this is perfect for the job.

Mechanical Advantage

Handy tool to compress that pesky Delta Ring! Works well with AR10 and 5.56 AR. A little tricky for my Colt 9MM but still workable. Rubberized grip struts facilitate a nonslip capture of the ring and sufficient leverage to get the job done with fewer curse words LOL!

Simple and effective

If like me you’re an avowed cheapskate and struggled to manually retract a delta ring with both hands while removing a hand guard with your other hands, then this tool is for you. The first time you use it you’ll thank yourself for buying it.

Right Tool for the Job

This is a pretty simple and inexpensive tool that will make your life a heck of a lot easier when it comes to dealing with the AR Delta ring. I have struggled over the years trying to manipulate the ring with just my hands and fingers. Should have bought one a long, long time ago.

One time use

Works just fine

Its a tool for changing out your hand-guard and it does what it is supposed to. If your AR-15 uses a delta ring and you need something to do just that, go ahead and buy one. It made switching out hand-guards a breeze.

Handy Tool

Handy tool. This is an easy to use tool for replacing drop-in fore-grip on an AR. Levers off magazine well. Grips are rubber coated and do not mar Delta ring or other gun parts. It does the job. Nothing else to say.

Delta ring tool

Makes it easy to remove hand guards for cleaning or hand guard upgrades. Arrived on time and as ordered. As is usual with all my orders from Optics Planet. I don’t know what else to say I recommend doing away with the word quota it makes one not want to write a review. If everything goes as it’s supposed to not much to get verbose about!
