Good quality, accurate, needed drilling of gas port.
Its a decent stainless barrel for the money. I was supposed to come .750 from the factory but was significantly smaller when checked with diameter pin, gunsmith concurred and drilled to .750 and everything cycles correctly and it is accurate. It was a bit of a negative that I needed a gunsmith to dr...

NOT accurate
I've tried this barrel with 55 gr, 62 gr, 77gr, with a premium scope. I've torqued the barrel nut to 40 lbs, tried the scope on another (known accurate) rifle. I get 3MOA at best. Sometimes it groups at 1.5moa, but could be a random fluke. My particular barrel is either a lemon, or the 'advantage' i...

Very nice remarkable accurate ballistic Advantage Barrel
I put the 16 inch fluted ballistic advantage Barrel on my scoped carbine competition rifle after doing your recommended break in , it shot consistent Point 86 MOA group and was surprisingly accurate all the way to 565 yards the fit and finish as always was great I'm extremely happy with this Barrel
Pros:
- price, weight
Cons:
- Not always in stock

Ballistic advantage Barrel
Fit and finish was incredible, broke in barrel and it holds an 1.3 moa group consistently, three times to the range same results every time very impressed with a 16 inch barrel
Pros:
- Light weight, great accuracy
Cons:
- none so far
Best Used for:
- Any type shooting with 16 inch but I needed

20” DMR barrel had a 0.0800 gas port diameter.
These are very accurate barrels. I put a dime sized grouping of ten rounds at 100 yards using a 4-14 primary arms SLX series scope and a Geissele SSA-E trigger. Using a DA Sandman brake. Have had great results. However, the gas port wasn’t cutting the muster at 0.0800 so I went up to M16A1 milspec of 0.0936 with a Chuck reamer and a drill press and now she runs like a sewing machine. Standard Aero Precision BCG, A5-H1, A5-H2 when suppressed. Things GTG boys.

about 2moa with 55gr brass bulk ammo
Shot 2K rounds through this, no complaints with your regular bulk 55 grain FMJ ammo it gets less than 2moa at 100 yards, with hand loads or match ammo im sire it'll get that 1moa.
I had the 18" heavy barrel, shot it from 50 yards to 300 yards where i was able to get about 6.5 inch groups on good days with regular bulk brass ammo.
Overall for the sub $200 price Its pretty good, only complaint is there are no gasport dimples, but once you get that sorted out I have no complaints.

Accurate but extremely overgassed
The review title says it all, really. I was pleased with the accuracy but I found it very unpleasant to shoot due to the barrel being seriously overgassed. The gas port was huge compared to my FN and Criterion barrels. This led to difficulty with follow up shots at longer ranges, increased gas in my face and the feeling that the gun was beating itself to death. I tried taming it with heavier buffers and spring combos with little success. I know some people swear to the quality of BA but I really do not like this barrel. Also the nickel boron coated barrel extension adds to the outer diameter so it may be difficult to install into an upper receiver without heating it up first, so be aware of that.
Pros:
- Easy to clean
- Good accuracy
Cons:
- overgassed
Best Used for:
- Target shooting
- decreasing the lifespan of your bolt
- gassing yourself

Good barrel for the price, sub 2 moa for me
Im no expert shooter, but i feel ive grown to be pretty decent, using good 55/62gr (not quite match grade) at 100 yards (outside, very low wind) i can score sub 2moa with this barrel, its claims to be sub moa, if thats the maybe its the ammo, environment and me combined to add that extra MOA, either way its not that expensive for what it is, maybe if i ran some good match ammo inside i could score that 1moa. And remember its a heavy barrel, so not fun to carry around for long periods.
Pros:
- Good barrel for the price
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Long range AR builds

Tickled with performance
Have a modified S&W AR with 16" barrel. Best i could do was about 4 moa groups stock. I shot 4 consecutive 1 moa groups with new barrel, optics, and ammo. Couldnt be happier. Doubt I'll ever shoot that good again, but i know its possible. Ive always enjoyed time at range, now im looking forward to next trip more than ever.

Ballistic advantage SPR profile barrel .
Looks good , no flaws that I can see . Getting ready to mount it , and install the gas block . Seems to be a good deal. . Finish is a nice flat black . The bore has a nice polished finish . Gas block seems to be a good fit , using a badger ordnance MK 12 .
Pros:
- Seems to be a good value .
Cons:
- Gas block and tube not installed
Would recommend: Yes
Very nice barrel
Ordered the barrel although the description said it was a mid length gas system. After researching the sku/model/part no. It is an was in fact a rifle length gas system. Exactly what I wanted. Quality and finish seem to be very good. I cannot comment on the accuracy at this time because I have not used it yet.
