The quality of this lens is outstanding. Crisp and clear image through the lens and works better than I expected. The only problem I had was it is designed for the NYX-14 so the threads on the lens do not match up or allow it to be used on a regular PVS-14 or PVS-7 objective. As you can't get support from Armasight, I reached out to AGM Global Vision (the folks there used to be Armasight) and was able to purchase the adapter kit that allows this lens to be fitted to the PVS-14 or PVS-7. If you get this lens for use with a PVS-14 or PVS-7, I would try contacting AGM support and ask if you can purchase an adapter. You can't use it on a normal PVS-14 or PVS-7 without an adapter.

When I first received this scope I was not impressed with the image as it was highly pixelated and even NUCing the image didn't seem to help. But what I have discovered is that the more I used the scope, the better the image became and the pixilation eventually disappeared so now I have a great image; as good as any of my other 336 and 384 core scopes. I think this scope had probably been stored on the shelf for quite a few years and it took the thermal sensors a while to warm up and work as they should. So now that the imager is working 100% with no pixilation present, it is quite nice. Happy with this purchase as you can't buy these anywhere else anymore as they were discontinued. If you want a great 336 core thermal scope these are a real bargain. Built tough with all metal case. The only downside to this model is that it is a "fixed focus" model meaning you cannot adjust the objective focus like on newer models. Even so, the focus is just fine so no worries there. The Hellhound is really just a Cabelas branded Armasight Predator 336 core scope. I am not even sure what year these were sold at Cabelas but I'm guessing maybe 2016?

I love this scope. Has a superb picture since it has a 640x512 pixel array format that is the best you can get currently. The view through this reminds me of the old Viewmaster viewers (showing my age) and it almost appears 3D even though both eyes are looking through the same objective lens. Picture is really crisp and clear, almost look like my WP PVS-14 which is incredible for a thermal sight. Also, since it a 640 resolution scope, you don't lose as much using the digital zoom as on lesser thermals. Too bad these are discontinued. Good for me though as I got the last one at an incredible price! Was even better as it was a demo unit (although you'd never know it from the looks) so the price was reduced even more. And with a 10% coupon, the price was too good to be true. The closest thing you can get to these right now is from AGM (former Armasight folks) but the equivalent scope with them is almost $7,000!!!

I purchased this and am really pleased with my purchase. It being a demo, it was missing a couple of the rubber light suppressors that are supposed to come with it and you can't get them anywhere else? I did find a substitute eye cup on Amazon so all is well. The picture in the scope is super sharp and very clear, once you figure out just the right "tweaks" to the settings for your particular viewing environment, i.e., high humidity. When I first turned it on and looked through it, I was not THAT impressed as I thought the picture would be better. Then I started doing a little research on thermal imaging cameras and how contrast, SmartScene, and automatic gain control work and after some tweaks to the settings, the picture was more than I had hoped for. Getting used to the automatic gain/SmartScene settings took a few night's viewing to get where I wanted. At first, I was not liking the way the picture "bloomed" when you we scanning and a hot object came into view. Then once I read and article on the Teledyne Flir website titled "Why does a thermal image suddenly turn bright or dark when a new object enters the scene?" it all made sense. It's a little offsetting at first as when an animal (in white hot) comes on scene, everything except the animal kind of gets washed out. Then I realized that the reason is because the camera is auto adjusting the gain to make the ANIMAL sharp and detailed at the expense of the rest of the scene. Most of the thermal hunting videos I've watched

First off the description of what's included does not tell you that a Kydex sheath is included in the box. I thought this model was a bit overpriced but wanted it because I have the model it was made to go with: The Seal XR Flipper. There's only one picture of the knife here but they really should have included the other side of the blade because on the other side, it is plainly marked "USA MADE" CPM S35VN * CERAKOTE. So not only is it excellent steel (which is one of the reasons I was willing to pay so much for this knife) but it is made in the USA! So I'm really pleased. The Seal XR Flipper doesn't say this on the blade however the KnifeCenter.com website states it too is made in USA, go figure. I'd rather see it on the product that way you know for sure. Definitely a nice blade, great geometry, and super steel blade.

This is an update to my previous rating of only 1 star. Over the last few days I've determined the following: 1) all of the problems detailed in my original review seem to have been caused by subpar battery charge or quality, 2) the Breach seems to be very sensitive to the battery used. The first battery I was using when first experiencing problems was the battery that came with my Breach so, I don't know if it was an old battery or just the brand. I tried some rechargeable batteries with my Breach but had problems with them also. My external battery from TNVC came with a USB spacer to make it easier to attach the power cord but I learned that with the spacer attached, it was not actually suppling any power to the Breach. Once I removed the spacer and plugged the cable in directly to the battery, I got power and all was fine. After having problems with numerous CR123A batteries (which is why I thought the Breach itself was the problem) I pulled out a recently purchased Streamlight brand CR123A and tried it. Since putting in the Streamlight brand battery, I have not had any problems with random shut downs or flashing orange screen and fail to boot. I have still had a couple times when I got a pixelated screen and even pushing the up and down buttons at the same time to cause a manual NUC, it still left some vertical pixel lines on the screen, these were fixed by turning off and turning back on the Breach. I now think this was caused by taking my Breach from the warm house into

I bought my PTQ136 through DVOR (shipped from Optics Planet) on December 13th and it arrived December 19th. I was pretty excited to get the thing out and try it. At first I had trouble even getting it to turn on. Then after multiple tries it came alive. I was pretty impressed with the quality of the thermal and pallets. Was having fun until after a few minutes, it just shut off. Took a while to get it to turn back on and finally I was up and running again. Then a few minutes into viewing, the screen completely pixelated and I couldn't see anything. I could see stuff faintly so knew it hadn't frozen up, but could not make out anything through the pixilation. Finally I had to shut it off and restart it. It ran for a few seconds then pixelated again. I've only used it for a few minutes at a time and each time had a different problem. Tonight, it has been starting up and then just shutting down every few minutes. Then for a while, I would try to turn it on and would get the FLIR logo screen but it was a bright orange flash, and then immediate shut off. I've tried multiple batteries and even an external battery pack but still get the intermittent shut downs and occasional orange flash screen with no start up. Needless to say at this point I'm not that pleased with having spent over $2,000 for a lemon. I have contacted FLIR support via email but haven't had any contact from them yet. I thought I would ask them what I should try. At this point, I'm not even sure who to contact to se

Bought this jacket as a replacement for a jacket that I got rid of. Jacket seems to be true to size. Love the number of pockets available and especially the back “dual access” pocket which comes in handy for storing gloves and a cold weather hat. Only gave it four stars because I just received it and have only worn a couple times so not sure how it will hold up. Temps where I live are starting to get down in the upper 30s so I will see how the jacket performs in “cool” weather. Like others have noted, when the hood is “stowed” the collar is quite thick around the back of your neck.

I love my little PF-9. Unfortunately, part of what makes the PF-9 so concealable is it's size. Because of it's size, it has tiny sights. Because of the tiny sights, it's hard to aim. So, the addition of the Crimson Trace Laserguard Sight on this small pistol greatly increases it's usefulness. Now instead of having to try and see the sights, line them up, and keep them on target, it's more of a point and shoot process. Greatly decreases time to target sighting as you don't have to mess with the sights at all. Also, if the laser sight fails for whatever reason, the sights are still there as a backup. Also, does not increase the size of the pistol so it is still super concealable. And because of where the laser switch is located (on the grip) I don't have to worry about it getting bumped and inadvertently turned on while in my pocket. For this particular pistol (PF-9), a rail mounted laser didn't make much sense to me because it was wider than the pistol so would turn on when in my pocket because the swath was located on the side of the laser. The Laserguard laser works well for how I carry my PF-9.

I bought a Fostech Fighter Lite AR that came with this grip installed. I liked it so much I bought this one to replace the stock grip that came on my Anderson lower. I have small hands and this grip fits me well.
