This is a very nice grip. The fit and finish of every Troy product I own is top tier/amazing.
The only fault I find is it uses two rubber or silicone O-Ring gaskets, so you really have to crank the grip to make it semi-secure. But even then, it is prone to loosening up by vibrations. I would maybe recommend a very small amount of LocTite to secure it.
But you'd may have a hard time removing it or accessing it's storage compartment, if necessary. There is no really clear installation instructions as to how to keep it from loosening up or even a tool to remove the lower bottom cap.
I enjoy this grip, and consider it fantastic, minus this one problem. I'm going to try a rubber strap type wrench to tighten the center section to quite a bit of foot pounds. There really is only two solutions to this problem I can really count on. Use a very small amount of LocTite, or hold onto both sections very tightly.
I'd honestly give it a 4.7 star rating because of this little problem is just that... "a little problem".
You may want to try a polymer version, they do help cancel out vibrations.
If anyone has a solution to this problem, please let me know, but currently I'm not sure I want to LocTite it. I'll try a little bit of MS-232 and see how it goes. I guess this is just a problem with any twist on VFG. Using a through bolt is just a more a more reliable way to go. Or don't expect to be able to use the internal section for storage.

It works fine, takes some time to get use to. There are plenty of videos on YouTube for you modify its release pressure.
Semi-Auto mode is far better than a Mil-Spec trigger, it doesn't break like a small icicle/Match trigger, but it's fine.
Im Binary-Mode the release pull weight is very heavy, but this can be reduced with an "Echo Improvement Spring" for sale online. (Easy to find)
It's possible that a H2 buffer will be necessary for binary mode to work well.
It will take training to do triple burst, etc... But it can be done.
Overall I'm happy with it, installing, I'd recommend Fostech's install video.
Happy paper punching!

Nothing wrong with the sunshade, fit perfectly on my Leupold Mark 4. There was a tiny scuff on one thread. It was easily fixed with a little Birchwood-casey Aluminum Black. Just don't use the pen type, it will not say on. Go with the blue bottle, and follow the directions to the letter. I just had a minor anodizing spot that was on one thread from packaging. (Not Optics Planet's fault) They screw in fine just don't over tighten. They work great! I highly recommend you contact Leopold for the correct item # for your model of scope. Leopold has great customer service and you will get a reply quickly.

They work great, just don't over tighten, they seal up nicely the threading is Leopold quality. On my Leopold Mark 4, I had to loosen the front one a full rotation. Best to line up the nice Gold emblems. My next order is going to be a Sunshade. I was thinking about an ARD (Anti-Reflection Device) but after I studied it more. For my heavy build, I'll go with the sunshade and attach the covers. They do work almost as well as an ARD without having dirt get on your lens and no shadow effect. If your building a light build sure, go for it. Each to his own on that, depending on what you like, rifle etc. I'm running a PRS stock with a monopod, Atlas bipod, 18" rail, 20" White Oaks Armament Barrel. An extra ounce or two won't bother my build/needs at all. You definitely get what you pay for with these. I'm very happy with them. If you need help on what size you might need just eMail Leopold, they reply quickly. They will give you the model # for the size you need quickly. Next upgrade is going to be night vision or FLIR.

I bought this to go with an M16A2 style carry handle, perfect match. The machining is amazing. The finish is very high quality. I went ahead an ordered the rear BattleSight just to have around. I was hesitant about buying from Troy due to the price. But I must say you get what you pay for with this company. it's nice they have instructions on adjusting to front sight for longer ranges. (3 clicks for this range, etc..)
Anyhow, point is, I love it. I'd go for Tritium sights, but eh, the cost and lifespan has always kept me away for tritium sights. I put on a good green laser and light. But each to his own there.
